i have been voting for the nba all-star game for years now and at first, it was alright, i mean seeing the stars of the past play with some stars of the present seems cool enough, but i have had enough (saying it gordon ramsey style)!
first of all, i looked at the recent press release for the all-star game (http://www.nba.com/2010/news/01/07/a...ase/index.html) and this was the first i looked at the polls for the game for awhile. i saw allen iverson, vince carter, ray allen, and gilbert areanas all over guys like derrick rose, josh johnson, rajon rondo. i wanted to throw up.
next i looked at the centers. im in california and chris kaman has played very well this year (20 points, 9 rbs per game), so i ASSUMED he was deserving of a top 5 all star ballot vote. no, instead, they have Nene (14 pts, 8.5 rbs) and ANTONIO MCDYESS (5.6 PTS 5.5 RBS) AND EVEN GREG ODEN!!!!!
oh but the worst has yet to come. looking at the western conference guards, i EXPECTED to see Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Billups, and Nash all behind Kobe in the voting. no, i saw TRACY MCGRADY.
ok there are some other things i didn't mention (Bosh starting instead of KG, Kevin Durant not starting WTF), but seriously, the NBA needs to get rid of this. if i worked to write the story for nba.com i would commit suicide and quit my job for this garbage...
