    Kobe Bryant. 3/4 on buzzer beaters this season not to mention the amount of comeback wins and yet my lakers have not looked to hot lately

      It has to be Kobe.... I don't know how you say it's not Kobe. We're not talking about bets player or better scorer, it's the most clutch.

      I would like to hear some examples of LeBron being clutch, I'd gladly admit I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just missing something.

        Re: Clutchest Player

        Here is a statistical breakdown of the 08-09 season. Clutch is defined here as the last 5 minutes in the game with neither team ahead by more than 5 points. I will look for this season, but this is as good as I have right now. It also measures stats in "per 48 minute" numbers.

        NBA 2008-09 season player clutch stats in the fourth quarter and overtime of close games, including points, rebounds, assists, field goal percentage and more.

        Kobe is slightly ahead of Bron and Melo in points, but Bron is ahead of nearly everybody in nearly every other category.

        EDIT: If you go to 82games.com and click on the team and player you want, you can look at their clutch stats for this season. It doesn't have a leader board, though.

              LOL break it down correctly. The guy took about 7-9 more shots than Bron to score 2ppg more.

              Which then you look at the fg% adn all the other categories and its not looking so good is it?

              I have the actual breakdown from there the last 5 seasons plus play offs and LeBron is your lead

                    I thought maybe you quoted the post I made before I edited it, but I was wrong. All I said was Kobe was ahead in points, which he was. I also said Lebron was ahead in just about every other category, which he was. Not sure why you think I said Kobe was more clutch because I added absolutely no opinion. My opinion, however, is that Lebron is the best in the clutch. Statistically, nobody can argue against it.

                    I'll just assume you read my post too fast.

                    Also, here are some stats from this year

                    NP= Total Net Points
                    Reb = Rebound Rating

                    Min NP +/- FGA FG% FTA FT% ASTD REB AST TO BLK
                    James 100.00% 68 35.7 39 47 49 81 17 37.3 7.4 8 2.6
                    Bryant 96.00% 21 11.7 34 42 32 87 19 17.4 3.3 6 0
                    Wade 100.00% -32 -20.2 31 32 18 72 13 8.7 8.8 3 2.5
                    Dirk 89.00% 43 17.9 35 45 24 100 56 22.5 4.2 6 2.9

                    It's REALLLY hard to argue against Lebron this season, also.

                        Only way I could argue that would be with a different definition of clutch, but I don't really think their definition is too bad.

                        Plus, Nate being up there is a head scratcher... ahead of Nowitzki and Pierce...and B. Roy????

                            I was confused as to why you told me to break it down correctly because there was no analysis to it whatsoever. Seemed like an unnecessary comment because I wasn't doing anything besides listing stats. No biggie though.

                                Found it right before you posted it. Thanks, though. Lebron's numbers in clutch situations are filthy.

                                Also, I found the points on 82games.com. Can somebody check this? I'm seeing Lebron averaging almost 65 points per 48 minutes in clutch situations. Will somebody verify? I can't be seeing it right. Also, his offensive and defensive efficiency ratings are now at 116.6 and 80.9. Absurd.
