Amares selfish and only cares about numbers? Where did this come from? Always seemed like a stand up guy to me..

Despite Amare's well chronicled shortcomings, if this deal goes through, assuming no major injuries, the Cavs should win the title without losing more then one or two games. Not winning the title would be a colossal failure IMO.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I would not like this trade if I were a Cavs fan. The team is doing really well, Z giving them different looks at the Center position and JJ is surprising everyone with his development. Why would they pull a mid-season trade that could possibly ruin their chemistry and leave the Brazilian as the only big on the defensive end?

While they would likely be the best team, I see little chance they only lose 2 games in series against 2 of Boston/Orlando/Atlanta and LA, let alone throw in a series against a decent 8th seed.

It would make them the favorites, but it's not a flat out dominant team (which hasn't been seen in years) and they'd have a tough road.

It also takes a good amount of time for stars to develop chemistry, along with each individual sacrificing a part of their game for the better of the team.

Nah, it's Cleveland. If they don't win a championship it's everything but a colossal failure because it's expected.

I love how everyone thinks Amar'e will be some sort of cancer in the lockerroom. If I remember correctly, quite a few people said the same about Mo Williams when we got him, but I think people kinda realize its LeBron's team and everyone else just kinda needs to get in line behind him

Realistically, only injuries could stop them.

You're talking about giving up a guy who is essentially still learning the game in JJ...for a 6 time All Star.

If Big Z comes back after 30 days (as rumoured)...you're talking about adding Amare to the team with the best record in the NBA.

It's an insane trade...Cavs win by so far it's not funny. Suns...WTF are you thinking?

Waiting for this to become official and then I'm jumping on large $$ for the Cavs to win it all.

LMFAO @ the idea that Amare is only about the numbers. Do people really eat up that garbage?!

I agree. I still think Cavs would lose to Boston twice just in a series. Boston is going to compete, every single one of their guys and you know Pierce and Rasheed are proven guys who turn it up another level for the playoffs...and so does Rondo. Everyone expects Boston to just be a stepping stone for Orlando or Cleveland and maybe even ATL...but if those guys are healthy no one is going to want to face them. I think they are just cruising through the season trying to stay healthy.

Orlando also has a very strong team, I don't see the Cavs rolling through them either...

But the deal is not done, so Cavs fans need to calm down a bit. Deals are 'Close' to going down then the other side gets another offer better than this one and holds the phone on it.

I really don't see what the Suns would get out of this. I hate lopsided deals like this.

When the playoffs roll around, the Cavs would have:

PG - Mo Williams / Boobie Gibson
SG - Anthony Parker / Delonte West / Danny Green
SF - LeBron James / Jamario Moon / Jawad Williams
PF - Amar'e Stoudemire / Anderson Varejao / Leon Powe / Darnell Jackson
                              C - Shaquille O'Neal / Zydrunas Ilgauskas

As a basketball fan, I'd love to see that lineup vs. Dallas' lineup in the finals. As a Cavs fan, I hold my breath and hope everyone is healthy when the playoffs come and we get an easy road, lol
