I was always a huge AI supporter and would go to battle for him even when I really thought he was in the wrong on some of the things he did. This last chapter to his career seems to really be going down a sad path.

Anybody else hear about a report from Stephen A. Smith that Iverson might have gotten himself into debt due to his gambling? Just heard this on the radio on the Tony Kornheiser Show but I was wondering if anyone heard anything about this?

Just got the ESPN NBA text alert saying SAS is reporting AI has gambling and alcohol issues.

Categorize this one under "Least Shocking News" of the day.

Allen Iverson is in trouble, folks, deep trouble. The combination of alcohol and gambling - and a once-promising career in tatters because of the first two - won't culminate in anything short of disaster if help does not arrive in short order.

If numerous NBA sources are telling the truth - and there's no reason to believe they'd do otherwise in a situation of this magnitude - Iverson will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away.

Interesting...you say tear him down. I think this is a plea for someone to help AI.

Allen Iverson seems to have a good heart, but he's a screw up. His fans need to start acknowledging his knuckleheadedness. Dude is a knuckle head that needs to grow up. He's got problems, and he brought many of them upon himself.

damn, i just googled victor page and i never knew his life ended up like that. sad.

i'm not a fan of iverson but i never want to see anyone go down the path hes going in.

He definitely needs help.

One thing is, noone can help you until you want it yourself.

Some of this is a result of not growing up. Right now he's losing family, career and working on his leftover funds

He's heading for complete rock bottom, but hopefully he sees whats up before he has to go that route.

im not taking sides here P2k...

just think its sad the only time a black sports figures gets any kind of attention is if hes doing something negative...or anointed as the next "jordan"

its sad overall and im not just talkin bout A.I

they build us up to break us down.
