Derek Fisher. 4-12, 1 assist, bad defense.

Your starting PG has to be better than that. This loss had nothing to do with Kobe and Gasol. The Lakers will not win the championship playing like this. If they meet Cleveland in the Finals and play like this, Lebron's first championship will be just like Jordan's: embarrassing the Lakers in a short series.

I don't know if I can agree here Born.

I just feel like Kobe determines the how well the Lakers play.

The Lakers win when Kobe isn't forcing anything. He lets the game come to him, and he takes what the defense gives him. He looks to move the ball, and makes the right pass. This allows other guys to get into the game, and develop a rhythm.

The Lakers are SO much better when Kobe is a more willing passer as opposed to forcing up shots like he's playing with the 06 Lakers squad.

I just don't get why there are games where he feels everything is resting solely on his shoulders.

              fixed.

honestly he should have been thrown out the game. after the illegal screen on fisher. instead of running up the court he waited for Fisher to get up so he could talk some **** to him. i dont hate the guy either but he should have been in the damn shower.

My man, I hope you Tivo'd that game. Watch the second quarter. All Kobe did was pass, pass, pass. He passed out of every single double team to a WIDE OPEN shooter. Then look at what guys did when they had the ball. Bynum posting up, guard takes a silly jumper. Fisher gets the ball? Clang! goes the trolley.

Kobe led his team in steals, points, and assists today, and sat out for like 8 minutes of the 2nd quarter. The Lakers allowed penetration, gave up silly fouls and gave up 2nd chance points.

Most importantly, the Magic didn't play well. This is a game that the Lakers could have won easily if they just played smarter.

The Lakers' three PGs combined for 7/23 shooting, 3 assists, and two freethrows. And it's not like they were defensive stoppers. They took more shots than Pau and Bynum combined. That is just stupid play, man.

The entire Lakers' front line took as many free throws as Vince Carter.

This team is not built to play this way.

I'm not disputing that. You are right about how he played earlier. But it all went away in the fourth. It was in the fourth that Kobe had to do it all. He had one nice pass to Gasol.

Gasol had 2 shot attempts in the fourth outside of the tip ins. Odom, 1 shot attempt. Artest, 0. Kobe, 16. He missed 9 of those shots. It's not like those three are scrubs.

I get what you are saying about their defense and all, but if Kobe keeps sharing the ball like he was earlier in the game, I think the Lakers win this game.

Hell yeah man. Dude straight up plays defense with his hands instead of his feet.

kobe shot the lakers out of the game, looks like hes trying to play like the old kobe. no surprise that the 3 games the lakers lost kobe shot more than 20 times in each game, kobe is better when he lets the game come to him like Tmagic said...

If you can't keep the primary ballhandlers out of the paint you're going to lose unless you have an eraser like D12. Lakers defense has looked bad the last few games. Way too many mental breakdowns, especially today. Lamar needs to stop playing so damn soft. He should have hammered Dwight a couple times but instead allowed Dwight to get the ball to the rim.

Tough loss against the Magic. Kobe's game-tyer looked good but missed, damn. Feels weird seeing LAL lose 3 straight.

Also: Nater Tot vs Boykins is hilarious.

Can teams who play the Lakers just make their free throws towards the end of the game so its not a freakin' issue?
