Reports are now that it is a dislocated elbow, sprained wrist, and broken right hand.

Yup, he's done for the season. Too bad, he was playing great. A upper body injury should be easier to come back from. Dislocating anything hurts like a bitch though, I personally don't want to feel that again.

      Amar'e shouldn't have gotten a flagrant

The Bucks will not get past the first round without Bogut......this injury really sucks and comes at the worst time! I've heard some people that have had similar injuries were unable to ever extend their arm straight again.

Actually the exact opposite. If he had a bit better grip on it he could've stopped his momentum. At a sprint like that you've gotta hang on to the rim until your body gets back under you.

Terrible fall to have happen so close to the playoffs. It was such a fast moving play that if he held on longer he could have repositioned his body and if he let go sooner he would have flew into the camera men or something. That sucks for the Bucks...but lets be honest, there is only one team that will come out of the East and it has been decided since the beginning of the season, essentially.

I don't think there was any malicious intent but I do feel it was Amar'e's ever-so-slight nudge (seen from the TV Broadcast angle) that led to Bogut's fall. I know it may sound ridiculous, but I know in my regard anyway, if I'm taking flight off of one foot and trying to dunk with two hands (or even with one hand) and a defender puts a hand in my back after I've taken flight, I lose a large portion of my own body control. I feel that extra force was enough to override Bogut's grip on the rim. Again, I'm not saying Amar'e was trying to do this, I just don't think it was Bogut being reckless.

On that same hand, the faster a player is going and the further away from the basket he takes off when attempting a one-foot, two-hand slam, the more dangerous things become due to the increased forward momentum when meeting the rim.

Moral of the story: Big white guys and fastbreak dunks do not mix.

I think it may be the official's fault. Players are afraid to hang on the rim because of the technical fouls.

Hah, I noticed that correlation only after I posted those links. Yikes.

Really unfortunate for Bogut and Milwaukee.

Hard to watch. In this case he should've hung on and not worry about a tech.
