I don't think that team is much better, if at all better, than the current version of the Clippers, with the exception of Griffin.

The main problem I have with that team is this: They don't have a very high ceiling. The Clippers need a few more guys who can get better in the NBA, not people who have reached their ceiling like Tyson Chandler.

I do agree that the Clips need to open their game up, though. A blind man can see that should be done. You've got BDiddy and Eric Gordon along with probably the most athletic PF in the NBA not named Amar'e, you need to run the floor.

It'll be interesting to watch the Clips this offseason, though. They better not screw their franchise again and sign some crappy veteran coach who plays a boring style.

I would think the Clips are actually doing well money wise.

So there's no need for them to move anywhere until they start losing money, no matter how many more titles the Lakers win.

Is this just for NBA 2K10? I ask because you have their ratings on the blog post.

Overall, the Clippers need to get a new brand identity; their logos and jerseys basically say "We're trying to be like the Lakers," but no one with a chance to play / cheer for the Lakers is glad to play / cheer for the Clippers.

Other than that, get a free agent, get a new coach, hope Griffin isn't a bust, and the team isn't terrible.

I LOL'd at Charlotte trading Jackson and Nazr Mohammed for Chris Kaman. Jax is the #1 scoring option and he and Wallace make up the heart and soul of the team right now.

If the LAC wanted Tyson "50 games or less" Chandler and his ridiculous contract though, I wouldn't be opposed to a Kaman/Chandler deal.

Send the Clippers to Canada as a punishment for a season (pick the highest income-tax province). After that they'll come back to the US and win 50 games

Lol at trading Kaman for Tyson Chandler. Kaman was nearly the only shining light for the Clippers this year and trading him for injury prone Chandler isn't going to turn the team into a run and gun powerhouse.

I do however totally agree about the Rudy Gay offer but Sterling is as tight as a frog's *** so i don't know if he ponies up the dough. I think they should stay put with their current team and chase Rudy G hard and hope Griffin fully recovers and stays healthy.

This lineup is pretty decent imo:

C: Kaman, DeAndre, Gooden
PF: Griffin, Gooden, Smith
SF: Gay, Outlaw, Butler
SG: Gordon, Butler
PG: Davis, Blake

I agree with ex in that as long as the Clipps are doing pretty well financially Sterling won't sell and nothing good will happen. I also agree with Shinyhubcaps in that the Clippers need a make over. Their logo, color scheme etc has no tradition behind it other than mediocrity anyway so they should start fresh, try to make the Clippers cool if that is possible.

What they have to do for me is to:
1: Move out of LA. Lakers are winning the fans in los angeles.
2. Sign some free agents
3. Get a new coach
The clippers won't get any fans since they share the same
city as the lakers.
