I think Washington would be the best place for Wall. He's instantly a starter and would be running with Gil or as the focus with Gil out for whatever reason he'll be missing time next year. If the Nets keep Harris then I don't see him and Wall gelling... they'll have to move some things around or sit him and ease him into a main role (which IS probably better for him in the long run, but from his perspective, WAS would probably be best).
With Wall the Nets would no doubt eventually move Harris and you would figure they would get at least something decent for him. With that, Wall would have nice pieces in place with Lopez, CDR (If re-signed), Williams and perhaps even Yi.

With Washington you think Arenas will be moved this summer. It seems like they just want to move on. Wall, Thornton and Blatche would be interesting as well but on paper Nets look better. IMO of course.

You're adding a lot of "what ifs" to the nets situation though. What if they don't move Harris? What if they move him and don't get much in return? Kind of makes more sense to move the pick, go with Harris, Lopez and whatever they get for the pick.

As for Washington, I don't think they'll move Gil at all. If they were going to it would've happened last year. But they've been pushing Gil off the point for a few years now. It probably has gone unnoticed since he hasn't been on the court at all very much, but they want to run him mostly at the 2. If we're assuming that Gil is playing the 1 then yeah, same issue as with the Nets... even though Gil is one of the few players more injury proned than Harris and comes with a lot more baggage (more reason to move him than the Nets moving Harris).

Gil and Wall on the same backcourt would automatically be the worst defensive combo in the league BY FAR.

If the Nets win the DL, then Harris will most likely be moved(it's been speculated that it would be for draft picks/cash). But if Harris isn't moved then that means that we got something of VALUE in return for the top pick(assuming we get it of course) Rod Thorn has basically gone on record saying any team would be foolish to pass on Wall with the top pick(basically saying if the Nets get the top pick then Wall will be a Net)

Yeah, Wall is like mini-LeBron on D. Some very nice, spectacular helpside blocks but other than that, meh.

True. When I say DC is a perfect place for Wall, I literally mean for Wall. The team would end up being the same as it has been for years... some exciting plays to watch, maybe playoffs but not even close to championship level. But Wall would have a blast and would probably win over DC.

His fundamentals are pretty poor, his D is bad, his J is hella broke (worse than Rose coming out) and he floats and disappeared in way too many UK games. He was pretty average in the half court set when his athleticism was held in check.

He will be a good pro, but I don't know if he'll be a poor man's Rondo or a more explosive, above the rim version of Devin Harris.
I actually think he's a better defender than Rose at comparable stages. He's better in the passing lanes, more aggressive, and a much better help-side defender.

Now, I'm not saying that Wall is great defender at all. I'm mainly speaking to how poor a defender Rose was/currently still is.

I think Rose does a MUCH better job in playing at different speeds. Right now Wall can't do that at all.

One thing I think people sleep on about Wall is his ability to make big plays down the stretch. He bailed UK out A LOT in late game situations (again, I'm just comparing this to Rose when he was @ Memphis, not with the Bulls).

I think he's more Rondo with a better J (better form but his release is SLOW) at this point then he is Rose.

Gil has possibly the worst contract in all of basketball. You combine that contract + a lingering injury + a possible NBA suspension and other teams aren't going to want to touch Gil at all.

Somebody will still take Gilbert after his contract is up. He still is alot of firepower that would be amazing off the bench or in a triangle offense.

Side Note: Imagine as PG of the Lakers, that would be scary

You do realize that his contract isn't up until 2014 right?
