Between all the teams with legit shot at getting Lebron. Cleveland, Chicago, New York, New Jersey. On each of the respective teams, with the current players signed on there roster who has the best player? I'm going with Derrick Rose. Rose is better than any player that's currently on the rosters of the Cavs, Knicks and Nets.

This is probably why he'd be a better fit to win if he played in Chicago.

      Rose, James, Noah.

Harris, James, Lopez.(Speaking for my team only of course)

Definitely closer than you think it is.

Now which cast could beat a top contender in the playoffs...say the Celtics...if LeBron pouts and sits in the corner all game? Could the 12-win Nets compete for a title with LeBron in b****-mode, lol?

I love how the Cavs roster is suddenly chopped liver.

We won't be competing for the title no time soon even if we did get him anyway and the same would probably be said the other teams other than Cleveland..

As for who could beat the Celtics in the Playoffs, we'll cross that bridge when/if we ever get there so that doesn't matter to me right now. I just wanna MAKE the Playoffs lol.

Thing is Bulls have Deng and Hinrch.

Nets are done except for Williams. Dude is a stud.

I thought we were under the assumption that if Lebron goes to Chicago then either Deng and/or Hinrich would have to be moved, especially if the so called "rumor" out there is that whereever Bron goes, Bosh goes too.

                  At least I was...

Either way, it's pretty pointless IMO to be comparing rosters in May when both teams are going to look significantly different come October.

Well if Deng or Hinrich are gone then you have to include Bosh as part of the trio?

Or are we assuming Bosh goes to NJ as well.

I mean if it gets broken down like this:

                    Lopez
                    Bosh
                    LBJ
                    Williams
                    Harris

                    Noah
                    Bosh
                    LBJ
                    Hinrich (FA Shooter)
                    Rose

                    It's close.

Definitely is close and that's not including the number #3 pick, which could also impact how we operate in FA because that pick could either be Evan Turner(assuming the Sixers take Cousins, which I doubt they will)or we take Favors with the 3.

I still don't get why everyone is writing New York off, like capspace can't get what everybody else's team already has. Why do people figure that Deng or Hinrich can be moved for an asset/cheaper player and completely ignore Curry's $10 mil expiring like it can't net something of more value?

As far as putting a team together goes, the Knicks have way more possibilities than any of the other teams in the running, but everyone insists that the guys already in place on their team are better than what NY has and still can get.

And I think NJ's roster still looks better than Chicago's at this point in time.

So the secret to success in the NBA is simply capspace? How many teams over the years have had capspace and NOT gotten a playoff team out of it. That's what Chicago has over both the Knicks and Nets, they currently are a playoff team, neither of them are. The Bulls were a playoff team this year and last year, how about the Knicks and Nets? The Bulls are a team that will fight you til the end as LeBron saw first hand in the playoffs this year. Would the Knicks or Nets continue fighting hard in a pinch? Capspace doesn't get you everything like intangibles and it certainly isn't a perfect science. That's the problem with the Knicks, while everyone is talking about what other teams HAVE, they're defense, your argument is what they CAN get. It's not what they are guaranteed to get, it's not what they're guaranteed to have when the guy gets there it's what they're hoping that they can get. Not saying I'm writing them off in this, but that's why a lot of people are and why they are not out in front for landing Bron or Bosh.

Another + for the Knicks is that they already have a coach in place that LeBron likes.
