No, it would mean Wade probably gets the max and LBJ and Bosh they pay cuts. Or all three take cuts. I find it laughable.

Gilbert mentioned this earlier.
Yeah but as you found out, you don't win the Finals with one. Seriously though, Brown was a defensive specialist coach. They want to replace him with the same thing?"I want a defensive coach," he said. "You don't get to the Finals without a defensively oriented coach."Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Wow, that quote is exactly why owners need to stay the eff out of the GM aspect of the organization. I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland goes down the ****ter with or without LeBron.
Why the hell do the Cavs want Tom Izzo? Izzo is worse NBA candidate than Koach K or Squid. He gets the most out of his MSU kids by riding them constantly and making them worst hard - that BS is for the college ranks, it doesn't work in the NBA."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Even if we do get Lebron back, I think the downfall of the organization will be Dan Gilbert. He's done great things for the Cavs and helped change the culture of the club, but I just think his overlord approach is scary.
That and he has the city by the throat with his casino nonsense.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Looks like not only is he serious but a offer is already on the table.
According to a league source, they are centering their efforts on bringing in Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.
In fact, they've already made him an offer to be their coach, the source said. It's going to take a lot of money to convince Izzo to leave the confines of the college ranks.
Gilbert graduated from Michigan State and holds Izzo in high regard. Many of the Cleveland-area media outlets had Izzo on their coaching wish lists when Mike Brown was fired on May 23. Yahoo! Sports reported on Sunday Izzo is the Cavs' No. 1 priority, and that was confirmed by The News-Herald.Comment

Heard that Izzo turned it down and won't make the jump to the NBA until he wins another NC at MSU.#RespectTheCultureComment

Good. I'm going to shoot myself if the Cavs hire a college coach. Have they not looked at the track records of college coaches making the jump to the association? Seriously....Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I don't think it's a top priority either... maybe I should've quoted or referred to the post before yours, bigeast. Re-reading the train of thought, I can see how my response was a little confusing in that regard. My point in that reply is that the Knicks are doing fine in attendance which is the only thing that really matters, since merchandise, tv ratings, etc. aren't tied to a city. Lebron's Cavs jerseys (and Yao's Rocket jerseys since his name was brought up) aren't having any problem flying off the shelves now. The NBA does its job marketing the stars of the league no matter where they are. The only argument I can see with this is tv ratings in finals games if the big market teams are in them (for example, more eyes may be on the Knicks in the finals than the Cavs... but even that's questionable if Lebron's in the game).Comment
