Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
For the love of God. If being from CT made it so obvious that he was going to NY, he'd just do it from NY cause being in CT makes it obvious it's NY. The location doesn't matter. If he's going to not directly be in the city he's choosing so as not to give it away, he's not going to go to a neutral site that pretty much gives it away cause it's right on top of one of those cities. Come on people!Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Lebron James is the single greatest/smartest business man of this generation. Period. He's the MASTER In fact, if you can say LBJ is underrated at anything, he's UNDERrated in this aspect b/c people don't give him enough credit. You underestimate him. Is it self-glossing media whoring? Sure. But I'll bet dollars to doughnuts you are tuned into watch tomorrow night.
Do you think this is all just coinicidence? This has been carefully constructed, planned, plotted, etc for years.
Look, I was there his junior year of HS at the Canton Field House when Shaq showed up to watch him play. You can't imagine the scene it was. Freaking Shaq shows up to watch you play HS ball. It was the week after he was dubbed "The Chosen One" on SI. Lebron has been in the thick of controversy/fame whoring/mega-superstardom since that time.
My point? He's always been bigger than the game. He's always had the basketball world by the balls. He knows it. Just go read his website..."it's more than about basketball".
In the past two days...he's launched his own website. His own twitter account. LeBron James won't be just a name anymore. He's about to be a BRAND.
And all of this one-hour ESPN special to say...I'm coming back to Cleveland?
And furthermore...do you honestly believe this ESPN special is going to be in Cleveland, Akron..let alone Ohio?? Please.
As Russell Crowe said in Gladiator..."Are you not entertained!?!?!?"
Stay tuned. You're about to be.
And if he goes to the knicks, it will be the worst day in NY Knick history, NYorkahs don't live on hype, we live on gettin it done! Right now, Labrick has'nt got anything done, all hype. I would rather have Carmelo.Comment

Pretty much. I believe there were a few Cavs fans yesterday claiming that the press conference being held in Ohio was a sure fire sign that he was resigning with Cleveland. I could be wrong though.Comment

I imagine the same reason that we are all talking about it now...because it will get your attention. If he announced from Akron do you think people would really be as interested as if he announced in a city close to NY.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Because he wants the ratings for the program. Even though CT is near NYC, and yes, it is practically a suburb of the city, it is not the city. I think he wants the NYC speculation to be really high, because that makes it the most dramatic when he stays and proclaims that he's the captain of his ship and is going to steer it to paradise.Comment

Unless LeBron signs with the WWE, him being in Greenwich means nothing more than convenience for ESPN.Too Old To Game Club

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
So if LeBron would have made this announcement in St. Louis would you think he would have thought he would be choosing the Bulls?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

I'll be entertained when he wins a ring! until then, no, I am not entertained. I am quite amused.

Its annoying, and its hard to take anything you say serious like thatComment
