I think people should take a look at these two posts again. Because these points have been made numerous times and yet...people keep coming with the same retorts.
To add on to phenom's point, if people REALLY don't believe that Lebron had the potential to win a title without joining another superstar, or be one of the greatest players ever (by leading his OWN team to victory), then I guess there's nothing wrong with what he did. But that would require you to have not watched ESPN at all in the past seven years when these very things were being said about him and to have not bought into it even a little bit.
That's all it is. People talked about him like he could be better than MJ (or at least equal). He himself made it appear that he was looking to be THE MAN on a team (he won't be that in Miami, but feel free to keep disagreeing on that point), and it's a bit weird that he'd decide to up and leave to join another superstar who's in his prime and pretty much erase the possibility of him being the leader of a championship-winning team.
Nobody said that. But there are fundraisers, and then there are, put the sporting world on hold while everyone anxiously awaits my decision...with a fundraiser attached.
Please tell me you see the difference. Please.
