He didn't chastise Kobe. I hate when the media does this kind of stuff. He said we are targets, and this can happen at anytime. You have to be careful, and if you're married stick with your wife, keep a happy home, don't do anything that will cause problems in your household.

He and Kobe are friends, and they are trying to stir something up between them in the media. This is really stupid.

It's really common sense what he said, and sure we all know Kobe made a mistake, and what Tmac said will continue to save him from these type of problems again.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Exactly. He was speaking to any NBA player who's married, not just Kobe. Freaking Media!!
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Yeah its ridiculous how the media are trying to twist his words kinda what they did in the playoffs against the pistons. T-mac is right but isnt he single and have a kid? Im just wondering.

I think he married the girl this summer. I saw somewhere that he was engaged and would be getting married in the offseason.

                  Re: T-Mac chastises Kobe

Okay, I have some things to say about this whole thing. Yesterday on msnbcsports.com the headline said "T-mac blasts Kobe" What the hell? The comments made by T-mac are common sense statements that any of us would say:

                  -dont cheat
                  -be careful
                  -hope it works out
-dont let this take attention away from the olympic games.

all very non harmful comments but the stupid media always blows these comments out of proportions. The headline could easily have said "T-mac speaks on the Kobe Situation" They have to get the misleading headlines so they can create news stories.

Anyways, T-mac should know how the media is and shouldnt even have bothered saying anything, Why didnt he say this when MJ's affairs were exposed also?

I just wish the media would present information and then let us judge.

                  &lt;/end_vent&gt;

He wasn't just commenting, they asked him questions, that's why. It seems they try to discredit Tmac anyway they can, and I think it's pretty sick. Shaq has said some of the most ignorant things ever, and he gets a pass, Tmac talks about stick with the family, be careful, get back, and he's a low down that's criticizing Kobe.

If it was you that was asked those same questions, you would have said the same thing. To say he should've known better is unfair, and it's not his fault the media is so drama hungry, they have to make up personal attacks. ESPN, and MSNBC were the one's. All of the news outlets didn't headline the story that way, but I'm just wondering what's wrong with saying something like
TMac's Opinion on Kobe's situation. This problem is universal for all athletes, so of course he was speaking truth and common sense to all, including himself.

no, I Agree with you, I would have wanted to say the exact same thing, but I would know that it would be mis-interpreted. The comments are right on. But it's not really worth the trouble for T-mac, thats what im saying.

All Im saying is, even though I agree, if it was me, I would have just said something else to avoid being mis-represented because you know they will only quote portions of the interview to make it read differently.
