Could Kobe Win Finals MVP in Defeat?

I've seen a number of articles over the last few days about Kobe Bryant possibly doing what Jerry West did, and winning the Finals MVP in defeat.

    such as this article
In 1969, the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA Finals series that went seven games.  Lakers guard and 14-time All-Star Jerry West

I think there is no way he should because he has been just as much of a reason that they've lost as anyone else. I feel that if he were to win it, they would have to be losing DESPITE his efforts.

The guy posts stats to support his theory, but he uses mainly points, rebounds, steals, and assists. Neglecting FG% and Turnovers.

Here are Kobe's Finals stats this year

    Points - 30.2
    Rebounds - 6.0
    Assists - 4.4
    Turnovers - 4.2
    Field Goal % - 51 for 120 - 42%
    3 Point % - 14 for 37 - 38%

and I saw a stat todaythat he is shooting 28% in 4th quarter in the series. and that his team is -27 in point differential in the 4th quarter.

do you guys think that Kobe could legitimately get the Finals MVP, even in a losing effort, and with those numbers?

I think anyone who's WATCHED the series would agree that he hasn't been spectacular.

Yeah... that's why he won't win it.

He wouldn't deserve it, unless he scored 60 points tonight

Rondo or PP deserve it so far, no explanation needed right
