Peja Stojakovic deal with the Hornets. He was/is injury prone ,cant guard a cardboard box and is one dimensional on offense. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
ugh, that Allan Houston deal is the first one that comes to my mind
that deal buried the Knicks so deep in the luxury tax they still haven't recovered from it
hell, the 2005 cba basically had a rule created because of that contractLast edited by bill2451; 07-01-2010, 05:21 PM.Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
I love these contracts -
In 1994 after holding out for a then-unprecedented 13 year, $100 million contract, Glenn Robinson finally agreed to a 10-year, $68 million deal that still stands as the richest NBA rookie contract.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
Don't forget the late 90's Jim McIlvaine Sonics contract lol.
How about the Grant Hill Orlando contract in 2000? I'm sure that we can debate that one. Sure he was worth it then, but the Magic got the short end of the stick on that one. Everyone mis-judged how bad that injury was he suffered in the 2000 1st round playoff game at Miami. Today I don't think a player would get that kind of contract coming off of an injuty like that. Def not in this economy.
I'm glad Joe Johnson will get a max contract from Atlanta, because that will mean that he will not be coming to the Knicks! Joe Johnson is not a winner in my opinion. I still don't understand why he wanted out of Phoenix after 2004-05 when the Suns made it to the WCF. But whatever, have fun in Atlanta with your extra 30 mil, you will never win a championship.Last edited by GaryT531; 07-01-2010, 05:56 PM.Comment

I think this is the contract that started the rookie contracts that can only be for a certain amount.Comment

Re: Worst NBA contracts of all time
In the summer of 2005, Johnson became a highly touted restricted free agent and expressed a desire to leave the Suns to assume a larger role on the Atlanta Hawks. Johnson grew upset with Phoenix's initial offers to re-sign him feeling they were well below his market value. This rift eventually led to Johnson requesting the Suns not match Atlanta's $70 million offer. On August 19, 2005, a deal was finalized and Johnson was involved in a sign-and-trade deal with the Hawks for Boris Diaw and two future first-round draft picks.[Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
