Is the salary cap too high? Not strict enough?

Personnally i Think that NBA salaries are getting Higher and Higher and I do not see the benefit. Ticket prices are rising to accomadate, and everything basketball related is over priced. The current NBA Salary Avg. is over 4mil/year. And players are demanding much more. Maybe lower salary caps would even the NBA plateau. And maybe the Cap shouldn't be one where richer teams will not mind paying the tax to get good players but one where they simply are not allowed to go over it. This way we will finally see some competition in the NBA outside of the Western Conference and GM's will have to really work to get a good team together. Who do you think?

A hard cap would be nice for the NBA. Look at what it's done for the NFL. It is tough to predict who's gonna win in the NFL because the teams are so balanced.

I still say teams should be publicly traded in the market, like stocks. No, I am not joking.
