The part about personally guaranteeing that Miami would win a championship before Toronto was golden.
Colangelo is entering J.P. Riccardi territory in how hated he is among Toronto sports fans.Comment

Re: Bryan Colangelo issues a letter to Raptor fans and Chris Bosh.
He was billed the saviour of the Raptors, a person with winning pedigree that will bring in talent and elevate Toronto to a winning city, basketball wise. He got much of the same praise when hired that Brian Burke did when he was hired for the Leafs.
Colangelo came in to a team with cap space and was gifted a #1 pick in the draft. He might leave with this team without a true #1 player, a "franchise" player in Bargnani who should play as a PF not a C, and with a team that has no cap space.
What's not Colangelo's fault is that the #1 pick he got in that draft. It was unlucky for him to get a #1 pick without a true #1 player in that draft. Everything else is on him though, he even played a hand in creating the new big 3 at Miami.Comment

What a great piece of biting sarcasm. I love it!
Eh, it'll take another disastrous year or two before I put him in that category.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

People outside of Toronto and/or those who don't follow the Raptors don't know how hated this guy is now.

He plays the fans by preaching a fun team that will play uptempo. That way ticket sales will go up. He fails to ever really improve the things that make winning basketball teams stick like D and Rebounding.
He will play the same schtick of a team that will be fun to watch. The fans will come and be tricked into thinking things will change. They won't.
BC has no vision. Just randomly adds dudes left and right without seeing if they actually fit into a system. Turk? lmao.
Worst part about him is his overbidding and overpaying of players. When he 1st came in he was smart about contracts. Parker, Garbo, Rasho he all said he wanted deals no longer than 3 years to keep flexibility. He always wanted to give contracts that could easily be tradeable in a year or two year's time.
Now he is dishing out horrible deals to Matador Calderon and Bargnani. Bidding against himself. Giving these dudes deals that make no sense and that no one else would give them...

I might be crazy but I think Turkoglu will rebound next year. He's going to get the ball so much that it will be difficult for him not to get 20 points per game. Of course, he might need 20 shots a game to get those 20 points ...Comment

Re: Bryan Colangelo issues a letter to Raptor fans and Chris Bosh.
This was the funniest thing I've read in the past week.
I can't believe this team has only won 1 playoff series in franchise history. I also can't believe they have been around for 15 years already. I still remember when they pulled off a huge upset against the Bulls during the first season at the Skydome. I was always pumped for the the Grizzlies vs. Raps games even when Master P lit up Felipe Lopez during the pre-season, lol.
I like the recent trades BA has made but it's going to be another long season. I have a hard time picturing this team making the playoffs this season. Once the Raps get cap space, I don't see why any all-star free agent would want to join the Raps.Comment
