Re: Who is the best out the Big 5 in the West???

1. Lakers (depends on Kobe)
2. San Antonio (champs until someone replaces them)
3. Dallas (very scary and will be a serious contender for both the Midwest and the west)
4. Minnesota (will be the most improved team in the NBA, expect them to finally make it out of the 1st round)
5. Sacramento (they are digressing instead of improving. their window is closing quickly)

I think Sac is fine...they only really lost Keon Clark and they replaced him with Brad Miller who is good himself, not as athletic as Clark though, but I see him giving them more minutes than Clark. Hedo wasn't much of a loss IMO, his void will be filled by Peeler, who is a better defender and 3 pt shooter.

Judging by the polls and posts, I think a lot of you guys are sleeping on the T'wolves. I think they might be the no. 2 team after San Antonio. Why?? Well, for one Kandiman is one of the few, and I mean extremely few centers that can guard Shaq by himself. I think the addition of Spree can help the T'wolves guard guys like Kobe, and Marrion, who are extrememly athletic and quick, plus Spree can make them work more on the opposite side (defense). Cassell will give some good scoring and distributing of the ball, as he is a better distributer than Hudson. This year might be Wally's best since his all-star season, because he will get plenty of open shots, because the D will have to worry about Spree, KG, and Cassell. Hudson will be a great spark of the bench for them and will give Cassell some good rest time to keep him healthy through out the season and playoffs. Then you have KG, the guy who in my opinion, should of won the MVP trophy last year. KG will have get the MVP this season with all the new transitions. He will play a similar role as Tim Duncan did this year by setting up his teamates and make them better players. If I were you guys I wouldn't sleep on this newly revamped Timberwolves team. They could end up your Western Conference Champions.

I'm definately not sleeping on the Wolves, it's just that the other top teams have themseleves gotten better from last year, that it will be even harder to overtake them.

Its the Spurs, they have by far the best player in the NBA, they can pass and defend, theyll win it all again.

I would go into more detail, but i gotta go

I totally agree... dont underestimate how KG alone!!! got the wolves to the 4th spot. Wally was hurt most of the year and Hudson did not come on till the playoffs... KG Has an amazing way of pulling a team together. No one in the NBA plays harder and it drives his teamates.... Im not ready to put them ahead of any team... i think on paper we have some great great matchups this year... i cant wait!!!!! But i think it would be awesome to see the T-Wolves pull ahead of a few teams and challenge the lakers or spurs
