Since all we are doing is making predictions, id like to throw one in: Paul Pierce, and heres why: won more than TMAC (please dont use 'toine as an excuse)

the teams are pretty even, no one BIG off the bench and yet the celts went further.
I think that provided the right things happen (celts develop a running game, toine stays in the post and Bakers salary is dumped) the celts could be finals bound if they can beat New jersey

Pierc eis a very good player and I think if you put him on the Magic he does just as much as the Magic and instead of Kobe, the Lakers do just as well this year. So I agree with you, but Kobe scores more and in the end it might come down to statistics.

DL's Top 5 (in no particular order)

Shaq- an amazing athlete, just throw it down to him under the basket and add two points...
T-Mac- he's "the beast of the east", how can you not put him on the list?
KG- the MOST versitile player in the league IMO, and w/ better help from his team this year, they might get out of the first round
TD- no need for explanation, just look at the 2003 finals..
Kobe- i REALLY, SEVERLY dislike him... but i gotta go by the statistics and facts... HOWEVER, this whole kobe situation: if he is found guilty... he will most likely be shuned upon, and taken off of my list...
Kidd/Payton- im undecided on who replaces kobe if he is found guilty... Kidd is an amazing athlete... his passing, defense, and SOMETIMES his offense capabilites are just amazing... Payton is also an amazing athlete... he has better offensive capabilities than kidd, shooting wise IMO... and is soon to have... the glorious NBA championship ring....

if he didnt play on a team with 2 (now 3) great players, he would be the best player in the NBA as far as stats go...

-kobe (if hes guilty hes an ***, but still a great baller)

While Dirk is an amazing offensive player, his defense is most definitely in question. And when it is all said and done, I think the overall contribution of the player is what will be viewed, not his offensive abilities. And there are definitely 5 players who will be/are already up there.
