Who knew Derek Harper's name would be dropped on the OS forums. A sign this thread has gone long enough. This Melo drama needs to end.

I wouldnt let go of Felton right now, but you know he's expendable if they can acquire an ELITE PG down the line. Unless he's improves even more.
Forger about over 20 years; in 20 years, i was exhagerating.

Marbury is definitely more talented much much more talented but obviously there was an issue with him.

New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, through his spokeswoman, has publicly restated last month's proclamation that his team is done chasing a trade for Carmelo Anthony.
"Mikhail has not changed his mind," Ellen Pinchuk told The Associated Press in an e-mail Thursday.
But sources close to the situation told ESPN.com the Denver Nuggets -- after Wednesday's widespread reports the Nets have indeed rejoined the New York Knicks in the Anthony Sweepstakes -- are operating under the assumption Prokhorov and Anthony will meet face-to-face at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.
The Nuggets would encourage the meeting, sources said, because trading with New Jersey has always appealed more to the Nuggets than dealing with the Knicks. Denver is known to covet Nets rookie Derrick Favors more than any other player who's been made available to the Nuggets in a trade saga that dates to mid-September. Sources say the Nuggets, furthermore, remain well aware that New Jersey will not consent to an Anthony trade, no matter what is agreed to between the teams, unless Anthony agrees to sign a three-year, $65 million contract extension with the Nets.

Once again, I don't see anything happening involving Melo to the Nets.

However, if it does, it's not like it's horrible for the Nets. They got their eyes set on Melo and Chris Paul, if these reports are true. While they'd be giving up all those picks, you'd expect a protections.. the Warriors and Rockets picks the Nets currently have are already protected.

If their all just a bunch of BS, I'd be happier about the future with all those draft picks.

Frank Brickowski is cool. Hahaha I said another name no one expected to hear on OS.

He's the best point guard the Knicks have had in over 20 years. Are you Serious Isiah?

You don't give him up, no way no how. Denver has NO LEVERAGE. AT ALL. ZERO.

Sorry but calling Felton the best pg in the last 20 years shows just how much you watch baseketball.

I will take Derek Harper, Mark Jackson over Felton. I bet you could average those numbers in a run and gun system like D'Antoni

Felton is not a guy you stop a Melo trade from happening.

Melo is killing his career going to the Nets. That team is terrible and could not beat the Knicks at home when STAT was out.

The Knicks fans outnumbered the Nets fans in Newark and the Nets never sell out even when they were going to the Finals with Kidd.

Also the Nets would be giving up a kings ransom and their future for Melo which is not worth it when they are so far from competiting for a ring.

I think this is all Denver and NJ plan to drive up the Knicks package.

4 1st round picks + Favors and Harris is too much. I definitely wouldn't take that. Regardless the only thing holding this trade back is Melo's willingness to sign with NJ. I think it's obvious he doesn't want to be there. If he did, he would've been a Net last month.

Why would he leave Denver for NJ, with half the scrubs he already has, to a team with a bunch of other scrubs (including Brook Lopez and his lack of rebounding), and no draft picks to speak of...Oh and is the second class team in the area and has like 17 wins this year.

Or Team with STAT in 2011 (wait for Paul in 2012) and have a better chance to compete for a chip in the worlds greatest, bright lights, yada yada yada...

If that's the case, he should just stay in Denver. The Knicks are in a better position than the Nets, but come on. At this moment the Nuggets are closer to a title than the Knicks. If thats his motivation, he should stay put. So I could easily say why the hell would he leave Denver for the lowly Knicks?

That deal is ridiculous for Denver. 4 first rounders, Favors and even Harris. If I'm a Denver fan I'm hoping this goes through.
