Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Gallo is not a 4. Chandler is a better option @ the 4 than Gallo. The problem is Chandler is a RFA next year which makes him more of a trade piece. It really doesn't seem like the Knicks are gonna bring him back since Melo seems to be who they would want either via trade or in FA & Gallo is still under contractLast edited by bigfnjoe96; 12-14-2010, 02:28 PM.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Some crazy stuff. I wouldn't give up Fields though. In my mind he is a perfect fit for Dan's style (of playing out of postion).Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

I agree Gallo isn't a 4. Too bad Randolph's not developed like they'd hope so far, he needs to bulk up.Gallo is not a 4. Chandler is a better option @ the 4 than Gallo. Then to me there is no deal. I don't think he wants to stay with that team...... but we'll see!Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Holy ****. The Knicks lose out again?
Just checked and The Worldwide Leader has nothing right now.
Can't wait to play some 2K tonight if this goes down.
EDIT: We already pretty much knew this but:
RT @jastrau97: @STEIN_LINE_HQ Possible Nets keep Favors in Melo deal? (NO. TOLD EVEN W/ALL THOSE PICKS NETS KNOW DENVER SAYS NO W/NO FAVORS) about 1 hour ago via ÜberTwitterLast edited by BlueNGold; 12-15-2010, 12:34 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Pretty much. Even if he eventually ends up there, why would he agree to that trade now? He can see if something develops with one of the three better situations (Chi, Orl, NY) before agreeing to go to the Nets.
Not even RealGM is reporting this.
EDIT:
Woj's twitter.
Any report Denver and New Jersey have an agreement for a Melo deal is "completely and utterly false" one ... http://tmi.me/4d13kLast edited by ehh; 12-15-2010, 12:37 AM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Do you mean you think he'll be there come FA or that NY will make a deal for him? Because right now it looks to me like the Nets are far and away ahead of NY when it comes to making a deal. Favors + Murphy's expiring + all those 1sts is too damn good to pass up for a guy that's leaving you regardless.
NY can package Gallo or Chandler (I don't think they trade Fields), Curry's expiring and I think they still need to grab a 1st rounder (which can be done by trading Randolph), but I'd much rather take NJ's package.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Denver is powerless though. If Melo has his mind made up that he only wants to go to NY then Denver will get nothing in return.Do you mean you think he'll be there come FA or that NY will make a deal for him? I just don't see Melo signing an extension with NJ.
If Melo is smart, he'll play hard the rest of the year and then just sign outright with NY.Comment
