Re: TMac Scoring 43 on Jordan (2003)
My first NBA game I ever went to was my hometown New Jersey Nets against the Orlando Magic and Tracy McGrady in his first season with Orlando.
Tracy dropped 40/10/5 that night with 3 steals and 3 blocks to boot. It was an unbelievable performance to watch for your first real-time NBA experience, and I have gone on to respect Tracy very much his career.
That game was actually the second of a back-to-back series with the Nets that year. They had played the night before in Orlando where he managed to put up 31/9/4 with another 3 blks and 3 stls.Comment

People write off Jordan's Wizard years because we didn't win much, but he was giving people the BIZness. Before he got hurt that first season, he was dropping 25ppg at 38. C'mon son.
And yo, i'm mad they let Kemp play in that shape but wouldn't give him a chance after he lost all the weight.
You do have to give him credit for almost compelling the bogus Wizards into the playoffs though.Comment

Re: TMac Scoring 43 on Jordan (2003)
T-Mac is pretty brolic these days but take a look at his size back when he was in Toronto or anytime before he started having injury trouble. dude was not big at all. and just because he may weigh more than kobe doesn't mean squat. kobe is a solid dude. isn't mcgrady a little taller anyway?
i remember t-mac going on record saying he didn't like lifting because he felt it affected his shotComment

I think he did something in the Boardwalk Empire thread. He needs to be back for the NBA season though.
Anyway, something that I always forget as well is that MJ ended up playing with B. Russell in Washington. HowComment

Re: TMac Scoring 43 on Jordan (2003)
I will never for the life of me understand why people defecates on Jordan's comeback with Washington and makes it sound like he ruined his legacy. What he did was truly amazing, no player in the history of the league could have done what he did during that comeback. It was such a joy and a treat to see him during that time period.
The block that killed Ron Mercer's career by itself was worth the entire come back.As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"Comment

T-Mac is hands down one of my favorite players. I love watching him play for the Magic, despite how horrible that team was. I enjoyed his first 2 years in Houston but after that stuff starting going bad.
I'll never forget T-Mac in his prime, when he was arguably the best player in the NBA at the time.NFL: Green Bay Packers
NCAA: Wisconsin Badgers
NBA: Milwaukee Bucks
MLB: Chicago CubsComment

Yeah it's a shame T-Mac never really accomplished anything great in his career.Greatest Franchise Ever
