Who Do You Think Has The Best Handles In The League Right Now?

I was just looking at my super old DVD collection and stumbled upon one little gem called "Ankle Breakers".

It featured Iverson, T-Mac, Marbury, Steve Francis, and Jason Williams among others. Steve Francis and Jason Williams were just sick by the way. My goodness. lol

I was a huge fan of the crossover back then.

So it got me thinking about players today. Maybe its just me, but I dont feel like there is anybody that just makes me hop up out my seat or makes sure that I tune in just so that I dont miss them breaking someone off. Those guys back then had that. I dont get that feeling today.

Which is why I ask, who do you think has the best handles today? And do you think players back then had better handle than the guys in the league now?

I'm really interested in reading some of your responses.

Wade, Nash and Paul are all honorable mention for me.

But it's got to be DWill. That guy has no real explosive athletic ability, but his handles are second to none. Sometimes it's just a simple dribble drives, then sometimes its:

Hard to argue against Williams. But CP3's definitely no slouch, but he doesn't really need to cross people to get open. He's a lot quicker than D-Will. So CP3's moves are more about keeping it away from the defender and misdirection.

I know the stars will rightfully get a lot of love, but I was watching my Rockets last night on NBA TV (finally), and there's this guy Ish Smith, an undrafted rookie who is trying for our last roster spot. That guy had some sick handles mixed with great court vision in the one game I saw. Literally had my jaw on the floor whenever he had the rock.

I know the stars will rightfully get a lot of love, but I was watching my Rockets last night on NBA TV (finally), and there's this guy Ish Smith, an undrafted rookie who is trying for our last roster spot. That guy had some sick handles mixed with great court vision in the one game I saw. Literally had my jaw on the floor whenever he had the rock.

I watched him at Wake a few times, he is one of the quickest players with the ball I've ever seen.

Had him in mind when opening thread. Watched his whole career at Wake...kid is incredible. He'll crossover literally running as fast as he can.

I used to love watching Tim Hardaway play. He was really exciting to watch especially when he got hot from the field. He would just take over games. I remember so many times where he would hit the defender with the crossover, then hit a three right in dudes grill with the accompanying "Hardaway for three!"

His crossover was so nice...

This is a tough debate to have as every single guard in the league has “World Class” dribbling ability. So what you’re really asking is which ballers have a style of play that showcases their dribbling ability. John Stockton wasn’t what you would a call a cross over artist but his ball handling ability was top notch. Kobe has great handles but he relies more on foot work and a strong first step to get open. D Will relies on dribble fakes and such to get open. Just different ways to get the same job done.
