Exactly, and I don't understand why Barkley keeps bad mouthing LeBron. And like Oscar said "Of course he's not going to be Jordan"...Barkley obviously has some type of bitterness/hate towards LeBron.

I don't think many people here have seen the young Jordan. In the first game, he scored 49. Check out what he did in the second game (playoffs). Also, don't forget he only played 18 regular season games that season due to a broken foot. Only 22 and against the best defensive team in the NBA.

mj will always be the better player them bron. But as the athlete i think bron's is a freak of nature. He is the same size and playing weight as KArl malon was back in the day , but moves like like mj, clyde for ex.

I think that as well. I wonder how many posters we have in this forum that are over the age of 30? Very few by some of the comments that are made about Jordan not being that gifted. The electricity that Jordan carried to the NBA was unprecedented. I remember getting my "Sky Jordans" and being the envy of everyone in my school. I even dyed some of the red parts black, to match MJ's shoes.

Good times. So happy I am a child of the 80's.

Lebron doesn't move like Jordan. He is very fast, especially for his size, but young Jordan was incredibly agile and crafty getting to the basket, and of course we all know his finishing capabilities. The one thing about Jordan that stands out to me compared to say Kobe, a difference between them, is that Kobe employs far more dribbling to get himself open. Jordan's ballhandling was more basic, he'd employ a crossover or between the legs if the situation called for it, but most of all he used his body alot to fake out the defender. Head, shoulder fakes, fake one way go the other, and the move when he palms the ball like he's going to shoot it, gets the guy to commit, and BAM right by him lol. Jordan still is one of a kind, to me.

I honesty don't think LeBron's more athletic than Jordan. Bigger? Yes. Stronger? Of course. However, that's about the extent of LeBrons physical advantages. Jordan was quicker, more fluid, more balanced, had better lateral quickness, better body control, a superior vertical, etc. And more importantly than physical advantages, he was mentally stronger, on top of being vastly more skilled.

As others have already pointed out, Jordan in his prime was something to behold. He was far and away the best of his era. You can't say that with LeBron. What LeBron's currently doing really ins't unprecedented, and there's players in the league who are arguably as talented and effective. From D-Wade to Kevin Durant, right on down to Kobe. His level of talent has peers, as does his athleticism.

And to the poster who claimed "It's easier to find a 6'6" guard with the athletic ability of a Jordan...". Can you name a guard who's been as physically gifted as Jordan in the last 20 years? You may come up with one, and even he only matched him in terms of vertical leaping ability.

Here's something a lot of people don't think about. LeBron's game is based solely on his athleticism. His game isn't yet refined, and I doubt if it ever will be. A lot of times he simply steam rolls his way to the basket with little to no skill at all. Which leads to to wonder if his game and overall effectiveness will fade once he starts to lose his knees? At this point, my guess would be yes. Whereas Jordan was putting up 50 points at 40 years old.

I think Lebron is the best athlete I've ever seen including young MJ. I have never seen anyone with his size/speed/strength combination in any sport. What wing player has dominated physically like he has from Day 1? He stepped into the league as an 18yr old against men and bullied them. I also agree that his game is based solely on athleticism and you know what, I can't blame him.

I don't remember how good Lebron looked as a rook, but he was pretty skinny when he came into the league. I can't picture his 18 year old body bullying the NBA around, but maybe I'm wrong.

No Lebron was a legit 240 when he hit the league. He had an NBA body way before he came into the league. He was far from skinny. He was built like a PF even as a rookie.
