    But if it was hockey and the best Canadian player said that he didn't want to play,wouldn't you react the way i'm reacting?

    The point is, If you get the chance to play for your coutry,you should be thrilled to get that opportunaty and it's a joke that these guys keep saying no to team canada...

        Nope I wouldn't, becasue I understand these people have careers. If they don't want to risk injuries, respect that. It also doesn't help if the team around them isn't any good , which sadly was the main reason for Maglore. Although he hasn't stated this, it was apparent when he turned down the invite 4 times in the past 3 years.

        You won't see hockey players turning down invites becasue A) Canada is a hockey nation B) tradition, most Canadian players atleast know what happend in 72 C) If they don't want it, we've got thousands of people more then willing. Can you honestly say it's the same thing for basketball in this nation?

                                Although it does pain me to see Nash all alone...don't get ahead of yourself. Fox and Magloire are 2nd-teir NBA players...no way they'd make it compeititve against the US. They'd prolly have a tough time against Argentina aswell.
