As far as 1-2 punches. I'm taking the two guys who consistently would take inferior teams into and far into the playoffs.

Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
Watched Suns/Lakers last night...imo, right now the Suns just don't have an answer for Gasol. They can "limit" Kobe, but Gasol just has his way in the post.
That said, I was impressed with the Suns...they have a lot of good pieces in place and I think they will improve as the season goes along. Brutal schedule to start off though.
Stinker of the night: Orlando. I was really looking forward to that game, but what a snooze fest."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
maybe it has something to do with his teammate, marquis daniels throwing up gangsigns on twitter, and not using c's when he spells words and wearing red all the time(red bands too)
maybe they too thought that rondo was apart of that.
Rondo is not dumb like marquis.#dairyfreeComment

Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
Throw me a bone, bro. Are you talking about Wade and Bron? If so, they have a lot to learn in terms of how to play as dominantly together as they did when they were the primary option on their teams. If you're not talking about them, I don't know who you're talking about.
If you have watched the Lakers and Heat games and think that Bron and Wade play together as good as Gasol and Kobe do RIGHT NOW, I'd be surprised. It's painfully obvious at times that Bron and Wade are still adjusting to each other, although they have looked more comfortable together with each game they've played. Kobe and Gasol are in mid-season form right now. However, if you're talking about potential, I agree with you. Those two could be the best 1-2 we've seen since Jordan and Pippen, or at the Shaq and Kobe.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Years later and you're still having the same problems mean your team is not going anywhere in the post season againComment

Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
Good point and I meant to mention Odom in my post. The Lakers are just flat out good...bottom line. It's a shame the Sun's haven't been able to get someone to handle the Lakers post game because Nash is so fun to watch.
I didn't mean to imply this Sun's team is as good/better than the last 5-6 years...I simply meant they are better than I expected them to be. I thought they would really struggle without Amare."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
Yep, it's moreso Odom. But, I'll just copy/paste my RealGM thoughts here......
Look dude....you double the Lakers, you lose.
If you're gonna freakin' double, if the guy left open hits TWO threes, pull the plug.
Bottom line is, you miss layups, you're gonna lose. You miss free throws, you're gonna lose. You CANT GET A BOARD, you're gonna lose. Play good defense and give them second chances? Really? You're gonna lose. Make stupid mistakes and sloppy passes? You're gonna lose. Playing with your eyes closed? You're gonna lose.
It was encouraging as hell, but there needs to be more polish. Some of the things that happened were unacceptable. Lopez looking like an oaf on offense, Frye doing NOTHING.....and honestly, sometimes, Nash needs to take shots. He passed up too many layups.
When Gasol's on, when Odom has his trademark "vs. Suns" game....there is no margin for error.
Luckily annoying *** Laker fans were all out tonight, so I didnt have to read much about it on Facebook, Twitter, and whatnot.
Onto the next one.Comment

Still can't stop Odom?
Suns still can't stop Odom/Pau/Kobe, and once Bynum comes back, add him to that list. It also seems like Fisher plays well offensively against PHX too. Ron has looked good throughout the pre-season up to now offensively as well...
So pick your poison in this matchup. It's clear that LA will exploit this team even more now without Amare. I would love to meet them in the playoffs, it'd be a bye week.Comment

Re: 10/25-10/31 Game Discussion Thread
Not really. It was fun watching D12's work with Olajuwon pay off. Once he can consistently make that close range shot, it's over for the defense.
And it's the Heat. It's always going to be fun watching South Beach's trio of talent.Comment
