Ah, now that makes sense. And you're right on one guy: Perkins. If he was on this Miami team, it'd be a totally different story. The game would open up for Bosh and the rebounding would improve with someone there to handle the tough box outs.

Thing is, Haslem=PJ, House=House, Jones/Miller=Posey(offensively). The two big differences are mainly in the shooting of Miami's 3 and KG's defense vs. Bosh's defense.

As they are currently playing, the MWO have no post presence, shooters, off ball threats or garbage men. The Boston Three Party had EVERYTHING. Offense, defense, post up, mid range, long range, playmaking, garbage plays, rebounding and isolation.

And to my earlier point, when your stars provide everything, your roleplayers are allowed to be specialists. Right now, the MWO have major gaps, so the roleplayers are being exposed. Though none of this solves the problem they will have on the interior. Good luck on that, haha.

Come on dude, Miami has the same tenacious d boston had. The same Eddie house plus an extra 3pt specialist in Jones and miller when he comes back. Rondo wasn't that good back then, actually they were thinking about trading him cause of his immaturity. Sam-i-am was the one in the game at crunch times. The pj brown back then is just like haslem is this year. The only wild card is posey, but u got that type of defense in wade and lebron.

The only thing u mention that is not debatable is that the boston 3 was hungry. But I believe Miami should be just as hungry considering 2 out the 3 haven't ate and the 1 that did only did so because he had the most dominant center in the game at the time.

You're not getting the main point, Boston's Big 3 complimented each other and provided all aspects [wing creativity, three-point/perimeter shooting, interior presence on offense and defense, inside offensive post threat in the paint] needed for a ring, allowing the role players to be role players.

Miami's 3 don't compliment each other anywhere near the level Boston's does. They have two drivers and one guy who floats on the perimeter and plays zero post or perimeter defense. None of them are a threat from long range and are streaky at best from mid range.

Not only that but Miami is missing an enforcer in the middle and a PG who excels in any area.

Again it's beyond silly to compare Boston's 3 with Miami's. Just silly. I'm trying to be nice.

Not to throw this thread off of the Heat or anything. But is anyone amazed as me how John Wall dunks left handed most of the time. He is like LeBron James jumping off the wrong foot for left handed finishes. Also John Wall is averaging 10.1 assist a game. I know its early...But what is the rookie record for assist. CP3 and Deron Williams didn't average double figures in assist their rookie years (actually not until their third years in the league).

I believe he's ambidextrous jeebs.

He's been doing ridiculous dunks lefty all his life. His HS dunks are better than anything I've ever seen from a PG outside of Rose.

Yeah, D-Wade really rode Shaq hard that year. 18-10 is the most dominant big in the league? Get out of here with that. Shaq was still a really good player then, but to try to discredit D-Wade is laughable. His Finals performance was rated the best ever that year too. D-Wade is the 2nd best player in the league behind Kobe and the sooner LeBron realizes this and swallows his pride, the sooner the Heat will start to gel. Just saw that D-Wade shot better from 3 point range than Shaq did from the line for the whole playoffs. That is truly amazing.

Jones/Miller equal Posey offensively... but yeah that's where that ends.

Other than that I agree with everything you said. We both are saying the same things about this Miami "team". They are anything but a team right now, comparing them to a true team in the 2008 Celtics is laughable.

I really wonder how much of a difference Dampier would make if they were able to add him.

I may not getting your main point but you are missing MY WHOLE POINT. My point was not to compare boston to Miami like your doing. It was to say that 3 superstars who come together on one team can gel off the bat. You say give Miami a month or two. I say a month or two won't matter because they are not as good as ppl make them out to be.

I already said they need a physical presence down low and a pg because lebron not that dude. So why are you repeating me. It's obvious u didn't read my post in its entirety because it wasn't a post meant for comparisons between boston 08 and miami. but instead me just stating that Miami is just not that good to beat boston or the lakers in a 7 game series for as long those two teams are constructed as they are. And month or two or three won't do Miami any good against la or boston. They are just not good enough to beat them with the current role players they have. If u would actually read my first post then u would have understood what I getting at.

If Miami doesn't get a big man via trade before the deadline then they're dead in the water for this year's playoffs. Both Boston and the Lakers have big men that will just toast them inside...

I do think that this team will get the additional players in the offseason though, watch out next year...

Your first post was jokes, and the following were too. I am done with that topic, you should not even begin to compare Boston 2008 with Miami 2011. It makes zero sense on any level.

I'm going to wait past 3 weeks to see if this can work out in Miami. If you want to go ahead and declare them dead, so be it.
