I'd take 9.1 RPG by Melo as a result of the Nuggets ineptitude, not his desire to suddenly rebound the ball.

Melo is Melo. He's a scorer. Nothing more, nothing less.
True. BUT he also had 15 against Dallas and 13 against the Lakers. Two teams that I might say would be kind of difficult to get rebounds against.

Everybody sees things in hindsight. Of course, majority of people right now would not make the trade. And that's understandable. Even I would actually hesitate to make the trade RIGHT NOW. But I'm not going to waver and say that it wouldn't have been a mistake to make that trade back in September. Everybody knows me, you ask me back in September and I'd make that trade without even blinking.

But it's funny that people just automatically assume that we wouldn't be better if we made that trade. In all honesty, no one(including myself) really has a clue what this team would have been like. Could they have been worst? Of course. BUT at the same time they could have also been better than what they are. We won't know because it never happened. So I'm just going to ride with what we have now and hope that this team can be the championship team us Bulls fans have been waiting for since the Jordan-era.

Or is this just old men having energy at the beginning of the season...eventually tailing off come playoff time.

I don't want to believe in them but I have to give props.

And yeah...Noah is more valuable to the Bulls than Melo. It's been said since the summer.
I think the Spurs are for real. But they dont care about their seeding so late in the season while team like my Hornets and the Thunders are pushing for better seeding the Spurs will be resting.

Rebounding isn't the only factor in the Noah/Carmelo situation though. Noah actually defends the basket and to lose that would be huge.

I also see that he can cover the pick and roll very well, shows out and can somewhat keep up with PG's if he switches. He has pretty good foot speed and lateral movement so he's a versatile defender in the post and on the perimeter. That's something rare for a guy that size.

Now all of that changes if he lets his cardio decrease in anyway. If he gets lazy at all during the next few seasons in the Summer time, his value will go way down.. I know that's sort of obvious but yeah his cardio is pretty good and is what makes him so valuable.

Admit what? That I was wrong? Because I'm actually not wrong. However, I'm not right either. Right now that answer is up in the air. Many scenarios can take place. The Bulls win a championship without Melo and Melo gets no championship then yeah I'd be wrong. If the Bulls don't win the title in the next couple of years and Melo wins a chip then I'd be right. It's gonna take the Bulls winning the championship without Melo or Melo in his prime winning the championship without the Bulls to determine if I'm right or wrong.

Right now, nobody is right or wrong.

It's all about the Joakim Noah show.

The way I see it, the longer the Nuggets wait, the less they will get for Carmelo.

Noah has extraordinary footspeed for his size, so there are points in games where he's able to make a play beating his man down court after a rebound. This combined with his skills as a passer and ballhandler paint a picture for scenarios in the future where the Bulls will be able to make a big play in a tight situation that the other team hasn't gameplanned for during the playoffs. You need those extras to be a special team, and Noah is unique in that he brings some of those on both ends.

Usually I'd turn the channel on this Kings/Clippers game, but Blake Griffin has become one of those players you just can't turn the channel on.

Some of the dunks he's had tonight have been ridiculous. There was one point earlier in the game where Landry gave him a hard foul. A few possessions later, Blake tried yamming it on him for revenge, but Landry stepped out of the way.

Blake Griffin is so much fun to watch. His explosiveness combined with his rebounding ability and passing ability is just a joy to behold.

I have a feeling Blake is gonna try to Mozgov Carl Landry before this game is over. Landry is really pissing him off, lol.
