Before John Wall's injury and Blake Griffin's 44-point outing, I heard of a lot of people (friends, people on TV, bloggers) that had John Wall higher than Blake. Of course, since those things happened, Griffin is on top. I am pissed. John Wall is I think just a little more polished in his game, if not as flashy. However, they're very similar, albeit very different. They are both athletic and fast, run the break well (on-ball and off-ball), and are good passers for their position. They also have downsides not unusual for their position: Wall with his turnovers and Blake with his free throws. They are also developing range, but are not quite there yet in regards to Blake's midrange game and Wall's perimeter shot. Blake, being a 4, dunks more often, while John, a PG, usually gets on highlight reels for difficult and one layups or flashy passes. But considering their differences in position and height, I think they have a lot in common. Who wins ROY probably comes down to the future. But, as I said, I'm leaning towards my boy John because he's got a slightly more complete game. Kentucky Wildcat baby. That reminds me, notice how the last two ROYs were guards coached by John Calipari in college, just like John Wall. I like my odds.

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
The Wiz have actually played pretty well w/o Wall. Blake has better talent around him (when healthy) but he's already starting to be their go-to player along with Gordon.Comment

Re: John Wall or Blake Griffin for ROY?
Not really competition here...
Unless ROY is determined by only speed, Griffin has already won.
As soon as BG gets more comfortable posting up and more confidence in his jump shot, he's going to be nearly impossible to stop. I would put 3 point shooters around him when he's on the floor, Clippers would be hard to beat.Comment

And they need a new coach, badly. It's hard having a roster this good be this bad.Comment

If the season ended today, Blake would get my vote. But, it is a long season. I doubt Blake can keep up this torrid pace.Comment

actually, I would be surprised if his number went below where they are at, if not increased. We may have to consider an all-star appearance for this kidComment
