His team isn't winning as much because they lost a top 20-30 player in the league and tried replacing him with Hedo Turkoglu and Hakim Warrick.

At Steve Nash only playing 33 minutes. He is playing more minutes this year than the past two actually. Last year he was under 33 minutes. Nash has never been at the top of the league in minutes played. He has always been around 34 minutes. He is still putting up 18 and 10 while shooting 49 percent from the field. The only number really down is his 3 point percentage and I'm willing to bet that number will be right back up to normal by the end of the year.

Seriously. Oh well, guess it's time to stop penciling Steve in for Defensive Player of the Year all the time now and certainly say goodbye to all those All-Defensive team selections. LOL at a sign that Steve Nash is falling off is his defense.

Dude's consistency is insane. His health's been "in question" for like 8 years now (even before he came to Phoenix) and he'll miss a few games a year due to some nagging something and then he's right back to it.

You should have seen how ****ty the team was without him in those losses to Miami and Orlando.

He had indecision and hesitation because he's trying to work in a whole new cast and crew, just like his MVP year of 2005-2006. Dude lost his partner, who made up the second half of the most unstoppable play in basketball, did you expect he'd dominate from the beginning? He, AND the team, are working out the kinks, and that's with no Robin Lopez either. Pick and roll with Barron and Warrick is surprisingly threatening.

Besides, we're 3 games back of LA, who've looked like world-beater champions all year, and that's WITH a ridiculously hard schedule to start + some brutal back-to-backs......so to be at 11-9 is really not bad all things considered.

Yeah, Nash's on-ball D is not good aside from his ability to flop/take charges, but his help D is really not that bad. Dude gets a BIT of a bad rap on it. He's never going to be a defensive stalwart so I don't know what that has to do with it. Dude had defensive issues from the very beginning of his career.

He's fine. He continues to be fine. His numbers prove he's fine. His leadership proves he's fine.

I don't know what ANYONE who says he's falling off is seeing.

66 wins seems like so long ago...*LeSigh*

Nash looks a lot slower to me. He is making more mid range pull ups than layups.

And Nash played upwards of 36 minutes per game during his MVP years.....3 minutes is a lot in the NBA. Again decline (this isn't about last year for me. It is about his highest level he has played in the NBA).

Steve Nash won the MVP in the 04-05 and 05-06 seasons. In the 04-05 season he played 34.3 minutes per game. In the 05-06 he played a career high 35.4 minutes a game. I don't know where you are getting this 36 plus from. Right now this year he is playing 33.7. So we are talking about less than one minute from his first MVP and less than two minutes from his second MVP.

You guys keep saying hes declining in places where hes never really excelled though.....if it was his shooting or ability to make plays that would be one thing....I cant say enough about the guys consistency in the key areas of his game....

Been a crazy week. With LeBron back in Cavs (even Heat putting a few together) to Lakers losing 4 in a row. Its been a pretty up and down week.
