No doubt we were already witnesses. Anytime MJ had the ball in his hands you pretty much had to get excited, even his trash talking was good to listen to.

this is why I have been outraged for 8 years that LeBron was ever even MENTIONED as "chosen 1," "King James," "Witness" "Next Jordan" "Chance at being GOAT" etc. blah blah blah.

He has half the basketball skill of MJ, NONE of the intangibles, and is 100% pu***fied new school cry baby who thinks he is the KING and STILL talks about his "greatness" in every interview he does.

Lets also add that he does not have the same work ethics as MJ, or the same FIre, and competitiveness.

MJ simple wanted to compete and destroy his opponents. He did not want to make any type of friends on the court. He did not want to shake your hand, or help you up. He wanted to bust your azz.

Now no one can ever compare to MIke. He is all alone as a Basketball god.

There are 2 players that come to mind that play today, that show hard work , and fire, and no love to players when they are on the court, and it comes as to no surprise why their teams are always winning. Kevin Garnett, and Kobe Bryant. We can also add Pierce, Allen, and FIsher.

Actually we can add both teams. Lakers and Celtics still have that old mentally as far as treating the competition on the court.

Im hoping my Knicks get that also.

also why I get so mad about the LBJ crap...

he STOLE MJs powder thing...AND managed to take it to a disgusting "look at me" level.

then he had the balls to come out and say last year that he respects MJ so much that he's going to switch his number from 23.

LBJ WISHES he was everything MJ was...but he never will be ANY of it.

MJ also created the current NBA contract model, business model etc.....

MJ praise and the santaclausification of the man gets so tired. I grew up during his reign. His teams were very good overall even without him. His desire to win wasn't focused into winning until a great coach and teammates helped him.

                  It takes 5.

And to act like MJ is the first athlete to sell shoes? Come on man. History please. PF Flyers and Cons were being sold by players before MJ along with all kinds of other crap.

---I will stop here with reasons because of NASA bans and other political arguements that might break the TOS---

Jordan wasn't the first. And what he brought wasn't all that great for basketball. I always feel he did more harm than good for the NBA and basketball in general.

I'll address the first bold part first...Jordan wasn't the first athlete to sell sneakers, but he was the first to make an empire out of it. how many athletes had a signature sneaker every year of their career, and has continued to have continued to have sneakers made each year since their retirement? better yet, how many athletes have started with a shoe name under a major brand, and turned that name into their own brand? Jordan was the first athlete to take a signature shoe, and flip it into a multi million dollar shoe empire.

and the 2nd part I put in bold - he did more harm than good? he made it possible for the NBA to globalize the game. Jordan was the first world wide NBA superstar, and without him, who's to say we would have ever had one? you had to have the perfect balance of on court ability, as well as off court marketability and likability. Without Jordan to pave the way, LeBron, Kobe, Howard, none of those guys would know how to market themselves off the court and create a brand of their own.

Hmm. I think most people who hate on KG do so because KG seems to target certain players to trash talk.

I personally don't care that KG does it, he gets into people's heads... it's effective and a part of the game. But I could see how people would think that's a bitch move.
