Re: 12/27-1/2 Game Discussion Thread
alright well i had looked at NBA.COM and they said our record vs .500 above teams is 9-7. dont know why its different on ESPN site
Yea....this year may be different though. You can tell there's something up w/ Kobe. His play has been "abnormal" by Kobe standards, and he's been getting riled up in some contests; most recently w/ George Hill. ESPN stated that last night's Spurs contest was the first game of Kobe's career where he missed 13 shots in a row.
They look to be getting almost nothing from Ron Artest this year. He has to have the lowest PER in the league for any player avg'ing over 24 minutes/gm.
Artest: 26.9 mpg/11.2 PER
NOBODY has played well during this losing streak.
Artest offense has been awful this season indeed. his defense has been good though, probably the only person who has played decent defense. i wouldnt mind Barnes starting for minute to maybe alert Artest that he needs to step up.
Pau needs to get back to playing the 4 as well."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
yea but will they take psn cards

Re: 12/27-1/2 Game Discussion Thread
League sources say there is no arguing Andray's talent, but wonder how many teams would take on his personality which some in Washington have called toxic at times.
The Wizards seem eager to move Andray, but as league sources explain it there doesn't seem to be another team out there eager to take on his personality.
With JaVale McGee it's a bit of a different story. The Wizards have come to grips that JaVale may never be that franchise center some inside the organization hoped he'd become in time, but the fact of the matter is he is still a very serviceable big and the Wizards are only entertaining offers to see if they can radically improve as result.
With Blatche they'd move him for very little in return, with McGee it would be about getting back better assets, so of the two, Blatche seems to be the most likely Wizard moved, and according to sources it can't happen fast enough.
Please some team take this guy off our hands, getting real tired of Blatche....Please don't trade McGee though, can't let that happenWashington Redskins

Kobe has been ok except for the last 3 games.like i said before though his defense has been pretty bad this season. poor rotation and dude doesnt even attempt to contest some shots.

Re: 12/27-1/2 Game Discussion Thread
Lakers playing a soft schedule like I said before could be bad for them. And it certainly shows in their intensity.
"If I was playing, I probably wouldn't pass him the ball the next time."
-- Lakers coach Phil Jackson, on Kobe Bryant's 13 consecutive misses.
Still, I really don't see any other team coming out of the west if LA stays healthy into the playoffs.Comment

Re: 12/27-1/2 Game Discussion Thread
I told ya'll Blatche and McGee, especially him, aren't that good. If McGee ain't scoring off putbacks or isn't being spoon fed points by Wall, he's useless.
Anyway, Nets close out 2010 with the Thunder and the Bulls so hopefully we end this year on a better note than when we started it.#RespectTheCultureComment

All that needs to be said about Kobe and the Lakers. I've called him stubborn for years on end, but now it will definitely cost them a title if he continues his ways. He's not a youngster anymore, if he doesn't use his teammates [he has the deepest team the league has seen in years] he will not get another ring this year.

A lot of McGee's value is on the defensive end, not on offense. He puts up over 2 blocks a game and grabs 9 boards.Comment

Re: 12/27-1/2 Game Discussion Thread
Too inconsistent though. He'll have 2-3 games where have the numbers as you mentioned but then he'll follow that up with a 6-7 game stretch where he's not even the leading or 2nd-3rd leading rebounder on the team. He's reached his peak and at this point he's probably best suited to come off the bench for a team that already has an established big in place as opposed to being a starter.#RespectTheCultureComment
