Alright heres where my bias shows

Larry Bird
Elgin Baylor
Julius Erving
Rick Barry
John Havlicek I guess

Baylor, Julius, and Barry are 3 of my favorite players ever. Rick Barry was every single bit as good as Larry Bird except Barry wasn't nearly as good as Bird when it came to hiding his douche baggery.

Julius Erving and Baylor are both absurdly underrated. Julius because most of his feats of amazement took place in the ABA and theres almost no footage but then again IMO Julius is probably basketball's greatest ambassador, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He is exactly what a professional athlete should be.

Elgin Baylor is underrated because he never won. The Celtics always managed to beat him no matter how great he played. Elgin in 1962 played in 48 games because he split his time between the NBA and military service, yet he still managed to put up 38, 18, and 4. Say what you will about pace and whatever criticisms there are of that period thats still nuts.


It really pained me to not sneak Adrian Dantley onto the list since I think the world of him as a player.

Yeah, and why are there players on these list who played no more than 5 years? In the 'Best PG of all time' list someone had Rondo and Westbrook. Now on this list you got Durrant?

Seeing as the title says on this thread ask's what is your top 5 favorite small forwards i would be one to assume that current players do apply.
