Andy is going to bring a lot, considering he is among the top 5 defensive big men in the game.

Andy and Noah are largely the same player. The only difference is that Noah plays next to Boozer and Rose while Andy plays next to...uh...Hickson and Mo Williams.

Anyway, I know ya'll seein Kid Congo out of there. Now that Weak Sauce was out of the lineup, Kid Congo got to shine. Dude's athleticism is crazy.

So Noah's production is a result of playing next to Boozer now? Boozer who he's played all of about eight games with while neither was healthy? Andy wasn't playing next to LeBron all these years? I gotta start paying more attention.

I like Andy but I think there was a discussion on the two before, Noah is in all phases a better player. It has nothing to do with whom they play next to.

So either I want my 11million dollar center to be a "real" center or I'll take a 2million dollar center and spend that extra 9mil on some better depth or a better 2guard. Either way Okafor is hurting my team the most so he is problem #1 that needs to be solved. We can't compete with this much invested in a guy who is giving us basically the bare minimal.
So you get rid of Oak and take on a center at a fraction rate to add depth or a 2 guard.. well like I said, good luck finding a center who will still produce and be able to keep up at near Oak's level. There aren't many capable centers out there these days, and by ridding yourself of Oak, good luck in the playoffs with whatever center you can find.

It's not an easy fix at all.

As far as you saying Oak is the #1 problem of the team, once again that is laughable. You have much more glaring issues, but I suppose you will never see it the way I do.

This is near the discussion we had when the whole "Bulls have Melo on the table if they give up Noah thing" was going on. Who and where are these centers that are just sitting around with loads of talent waiting for a phone call? They're easy to find apparently but every team in the league apparently is too stupid to locate them cause they all don't have at least one.

I love Andy, but like I said if we can get anything for him, we need to do it. He averages about 10 & 10 a game and hustles his nuts off, which is something a team like Orlando could use since they traded Gortat away. Hopefully he'll draw some interest from somebody

You can give Paul any athletic big man with good hands and he will give you atleast 8-10 ppg. The problem is Oka isn't that athletic and his hands are suspect even for a smaller center. I rather have a 7footer with great hops like a DeAndre Jordan or JaVale McGee over Oka. Thats not even getting into dollars and cents. Jordan is making less than a mil and McGee is @ 1.6 mil. Either players at center would give us a better shot blocker and finisher for a tenth the money.

At the very least, Okafor has played much better this year. He's been a better post scorer than we've had out of our center position since...ever, I guess.

Personally, I think we need a consistent wing scorer that can knock down the open 3 and get to the FT line. Thornton has that in him, but he can't get the minutes. Whether it's because he's in Monty's doghouse or what. He just hasn't been nearly the player we need from him.

Heh Thornton looked like his rookie self at the beginning of the season, but lately idk. Another scorer on the wing is a much bigger problem then Okafor, he actually hasn't been all that bad. Not to mention there really isn't much other talent at Center readily available.

As far as a post scorer thats not saying much the last true post scorer we had was Jamal Magloire. Once again Oka isn't the only problem right now but the simple fact that he makes 11mil by default makes him the biggest problem.

Remember that set that the Suns loved to run for Jason Richardson? The one where the Suns have a number of different options based on how the defense played it? In case you don’t remember, here it is: Well, with Jason Richardson no longer on the Suns’ roster, Alvin Gentry and the Suns coaching staff
