    Yes

Miller did it during the Hand Check Era. Allen plays in a pro-scoring NBA era.

There is bound to be a great shooter to one day surpass Allen once he retires.

I dont think Durant could do this at the Forward position. It would be a Guard again....it seems. But Durant has that work ethic needed chase the record.

Guys shoot the three like a regular shot now. Its not special anymore.
The right athlete, in the right system, on the right team, can do this. It not some impossible feat.

There is bound to be a player that makes his money by the 3-Bomb but not relegated to doing only that like a Kyle Korver.

It may happen one day but it won't happen for at least another 20 years. Reggie had it for 14 years. Ray is going to have it for at least that long but more likely longer. Who knows how high the number is once Ray is done. Given his shape and level of play he could play another 3 years. He could push the number close to 3,000. No active player is even remotely close to having a chance at breaking it.

Just to show how hard it would be to catch him let's say he finishes with 2,800 threes. In order for someone to break his record in 15 years they are going to need to average 187 three pointers a season. That number has only been hit 49 times in history with Ray Allen having 6 of those.

Durant has the best chance of current players IMO. He could catch Reggie if he plays long enough, but not Allen(assuming that he plays for a few more years).

187 3s per season is omitting Miller and Allen's 3 in the Playoffs , who have both played in alot of post Season Games. they could get 10 per series easily.

150per x 15 Regular seasons put you in striking distance. 2250.

Get a couple of 175-200 in there and maybe.

Then get to the Post Season most of your career.

You do know that regular season and playoffs numbers aren't combined right?? They keep those numbers seperate. If you combine Ray's regular and playoff threes he has made 2,815 compared to Reggie's 2,880. So if they combined them then Reggie would still have the record.
