Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
I mean, unless his injury is more serious than anyone knows about, how will he look that much different/worse?
His game is predicated on post defense and rebounding. That doesn't change no matter what uniform you're wearing. If OKC had Perkins last year, hell they may have taken LA out! WowComment

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
So what does OKC starting lineup look like????
Westbrook/Thabo/Durant/someone/Perkins
Edit: Serge and Perkins starting together? That's not a whole lot of offense though... maybe they won't need it.Last edited by ex carrabba fan; 02-24-2011, 04:04 PM.Comment

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
Perkins is one of the best defensive centers in the league (imo the best). But they still have Shaq, Big Baby, JO (whenever he comes back), Garnett, and that turkish dude who can play center. That is still better than most everybody.
But they do add a young guy who can get 17 a game to provide some depth on the wing which they really needed. They were the best team before this trade, I dont think this changes it at all.
And Perkins is a great fit for the Thunder.
But for these people saying this makes them worse than the Lakers. That's too funny. I guess Boston will have to settle with having Shaq anchor the paint now alongside Garnett. They will be hurting so much.Last edited by CabreraMVP; 02-24-2011, 04:19 PM.JayElectronicaBluElzhi2PacTheNotoriousB.I.G.ReksSc arfaceFashawnJeruThaDamajaComment

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
As you'd expect, Celtics vets are livid over trade of Kendrick Perkins, sources say. He's the tough guy, enforcer. But BOS can't pay him.
Anyway, the Celtics do have a lot of room for 2012 and can go through with a quick rebuilding phase.Comment

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
Boston is really gambling that Shaq and KG can lead them down the stretch...I like Kristc, but hard to know how he's gonna fit there. Jeff Green has stud potential, but I don't see the move making Boston that much more competitive right now (which is all there is for Boston at this point)....what am I missing?Comment

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC
He will be back for the playoffs and 100%.
But let's be real... Shaq is not Kendrick Perkins. Green is a cool player solid player, but how in the hell does he even fit in with this team? I don't see it. I'm sure Doc will figure it out, but man you couldn't pay Perk so you just decide to trade him and take a big risk getting a title this year?
Makes no sense to me. If anything stick it out and see what happens man.Comment
