I don't think it has to do with "being a Net" moreso than it is being on a losing team. If the Nets are in the playoff hunt, I doubt they have any problem playing in NJ.

Specific to New Jersey is that terrible crowd. Even during the Kidd years home games lacked the energy that team deserved.

That was not the same Nets team I watched in the first 30 minutes because they were awful in the 3rd quarter.

Specific to New Jersey is that terrible crowd. Even during the Kidd years home games lacked the energy that team deserved.

Definitely didn't help playing at the biggest sports dump in Sports at the time. At least Newark has showns signs(although there's been a huge gap in that)of having some energy there. Tonight is a good example as it's the livest I've seen The Rock all year.
