As far as ratings, I am sure the NBA is. The storylines have been compelling.

In terms of the postseason...
I like both. But, if I had to choose between the two it would be College hands down. The College Tourney is wide open especially this year, but the NBA has only a few teams that have a shot. Plus, upsets are pretty rare to see in the NBA game, not as exciting to me.

I think this year the NBA is having a better season. I'm not going to get into the whole debate of NBA vs College since I love them both. But this year the regular season for the NBA has been a lot more interesting than college. College ball hasn't really stood out to me this year and the bubble has just been horrible. The NBA has had a lot of moves that have created some really interesting teams and I have enjoyed Doug Collins coaching the Sixers.

I'm kind of close with what your thought about this. My first sports love is basketball. And don't get me wrong, I love football, baseball, hockey(somewhat) BUT to me nothing beats good basketball. This year, I don't see college as intriguing this year. Which kind makes the tournament kind of like, Meh! Maybe because of no dominate teams in college? I think dominate teams make the college game more intriguing. About 4-5 dominate college teams spread across the nation makes it better. I don't like all this parity in college, which to me kinda ruins the game.

I hope it's a great tournament BUT I just don't want to see a repeat of last year when the championship game was Duke vs Butler. Listen, I love the Cinderella storyline BUT I don't want Cinderella in my championship game.

1998-2009 I felt college was more entertaining than the NBA. College ball was entertaining as hell for all of the 90's but the NBA was just on another level in the early/mid 90s.

It's not even close right now though, college basketball has been dog poo the last two years. That Duke team last year was by far the worst championship team I've ever seen. I don't know if there's a single future pro on the 2010 Dookies, maybe Nolan Smith.

It's been said by analysts almost every telecast the last two years but there are no elite teams in college. Remember even 5-8 years ago when it was damn near a rule that you had to have three future pros on your team to cut down the nets? That's not the case recently. The games are still exciting but the talent level is down pretty significantly the last two years.

The NBA on the other hand is ridiculous right now. Good storylines, great talent, balance between East & West is coming back, the seeds for some real rivalries have been planted. IMO you can find must-see NBA regular season games every week.

I of course am also biased because the Knicks blew during this stretch (though I barely cared about their '99 title run, eff that strike) and UConn was running **** 1998-2006ish.

The NBA is always having a better season then college basketball, in my opinion.

College basketball can be unwatchable in stretches, because you can have 5-8 minute periods where no one can score from the field..and it isnt because of any great defense, hustle, or intensity. It's because there arent a lot of skilled players who can make shots.

Can it be dramatic and exciting? Sure.

But the sheer quality of basketball can be downright brutal.

College ball is generally boring until the tourney and even then it can be boring. This year in particular has to be a low. Who is the face of college ball this year?

Why BYU is a top story...the pro leagues is always gonna be better.

That being said, there's just so much more to look for right now in the pro game...especially with all the player movement.

I can't remember the end of an NBA season being this "important" in ages.

Maybe cuz the Knicks are relevant

Well yeah ratings and storyline wise the NBA is destroying College basketball in the regular season, but even with these storylines the NBA playoffs can't even touch March Madness atleast for me.

Tough call throwing this in the NBA forum.

I think while the NBA is having a more interesting season, I wouldn't consider that a slight for the college game.

There has been a lot of back and forth. With the Big East being "back" and many upsets all year, the parity of college ball seems to be unmatched.

I can't wait for the draft. This should be a nice "surprise" year with many guys excelling past their expectations IMO.

This is an easy one. This has been one the NBAs better seasons in a long time. It's kind of retro dream when you consider the Celtics-Lakers are still prominent and also that the Bulls, Knicks, and Heat are starting to re-emerge. It's kind of like an 80s meets 90s retro year. Plus you have Philly getting traction and being relevant again too. Thats also some of the largest cities with teams that are relevant: NYC, LA, Chicago, and Philly.

And the playoffs could shape up to be an absolute blood bath with some interesting upset possibilities in the first round.

i love that philly is back in the playoffs and playing well. good for basketbal i think. i'd also like to see Indiana sneak in even just as the 8th seed. i could see miami get upset in the first round by either new york or philly

plus you got the intrigue in the west obviously with the defending 2 time champs lakers. the spurs look rejuvinated.. Dallas trying to get one before the window closes. then you got the up and coming teams like OKC and don't blink now the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES. Mike conley has actually been playing very good basketball the last couple weeks (they aren't a contender thats not what i'm saying, but IMO they could possibly upset a team and make noise)
