They are getting the exact amount of love they deserve. They don't scare anyone, so why should people say they are the favorites

They are certainly a contender no doubt, but I would put LA/Boston above them and put SA on the same level as Miami/OKC/Chicago

Eh? They don't scare anybody but they're on the same level as Miami/OKC/Chicago? I'm almost certain the Lakers would rather see the Spurs in the WCF than the Thunder. I don't see how they can be on the same level as teams that actually scare people when you say they don't scare anybody. Maybe I'm just missing what you're trying to say though.

Miami/OKC/Chicago aren't being talked about as penciled into the Finals IMO. It seems like it's always "LA and Boston", that's my point.

And yes LA would matchup much better with SA than OKC. But in general terms, SA is getting the attention they deserve. In general terms I view them as having an equal chance at a title as OKC/Miami/Chiacgo.

I never heard of a contender not scaring anyome lol...might as well just say they arent contenders for the title...

Hey its all good I guess.....theyre not a "sexy" story to follow....but you domt win 60 plus and grab the #1 seed in the west on accident...

EDIT: which brings me back to my original point...much credit to Pop for getting this team where they are...

I should say LA and Boston "are scarier contenders", an opinion shared probably by the general public..

I'm saying SA doesn't scare me as a personal opinion.

My point was to the guy saying SA isn't getting any love. They don't deserve any more than they're getting.

So because they don't scare you, the Laker fan, that means they don't deserve anymore love than they're getting. Despite being labeled as old and broken down for the 7th straight year and still rocking the league with arguably the best coach in the league and getting #1 seeds in the tougher conference and all that, and still having 3 of the best players in the league without any of the hubbub that the primadonna losers elsewhere are getting?

But they don't scare the Laker fans, so they don't deserve any more than they're getting.

You really have no idea what point I'm making.

They got killed last year, swept in the second round.

The year before they lost in the first round and it wasn't even close.

So sure, they can keep rocking the regular season or doing whatever they wanna do, but the bottom line is they don't deserve any more love than what they're getting. People still look at them as very capable of winning a title, not as many people that think that about LA or Boston... which is my point.

Thus they are getting the love they deserve. What do you want people to put them on LA's or Boston's level? Just because they won a few more regular season games?

Lol. Yep, its playoff time. This forum is going to be off the chain for about 2 months.

As for the Spurs, what else needs to be said. They get respect and they definitly have a good chance to win it all. Well at least in my opinion. The media has always kinda down played the Spurs. I don't know why. They are never a sexy pick.

ya i saw your response after I posted and I deleted it...I can understand your point, but we can just agree to disagree

btw Ex, while we are talking about past seasons, did you realize that these Lakers have not won a championship when they have not had home court in every single series. They have gotten a little lucky with matchups in the last couple of seasons. We will see if that continues but I have a feeling that they are going to have to win series without home court this postseason

Oooohh I'd seriously consider putting SA above Boston if I had to think about it right now. Right now I have LA, a slight gap and then your Boston's, MIA's, CHI's and SA's in no particular order.
