Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
It's a shame. He had the makings of a superstar a couple of years ago. He's physically gifted and talented. To me, he just doesn't seem like he wants it. Not to say that he's lazy but it seems like when it comes down to his team needing him, he doesn't seem to respond. You look at other superstars in the league and when the team calls them for a big play, they step up. Even if they are having a crappy game, the superstar will go to that ball and try to make THAT play. You look at Kobe in Game 7 of the Finals last year. Crappy for most of the game BUT when the Lakers needed him he stepped up. Derrick Rose last night. 3-17 the entire game. BUT the Bulls needed him late in the game, he took the ball to the cup to give the Bulls the lead. Those and a few others are what superstars are about. Iggy seems like he wants no part of it.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
Hansbrough was off and Granger was hot, lol, but the problem with Granger is that he's not good at creating his own shot. You can't just give him the ball and let him do work, you have to set a play up for him.. And that's exactly what they did when it was tied at 84, but Collison for whatever reason decided to take a contested J instead of passing it to an open Granger. It's inexperience I suppose. And I don't even know what happened on that last possession, Bulls just guarded well and we couldn't execute our play I guess.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
Even though the Pacers might get swept, things are looking really good for them. They have all those young pieces, now with playoff experience and plenty of cap space to work with in the offseason. They just need their alpha dog. I know Granger is in that role currently and tries to be, but I don't think he's going to cut it.
Also, I fell asleep last night but I seen those Heat/Sixers highlights this morning and man, LeBron and Wade. Craziness.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

And it's amazing that the 76ers led most of the game (I think) with how good the big 3 in Miami looked. That crossover/behind the back and then pass while Lebron was falling was so nice. And it was kinda cool because that was like the one move that I had down really good in high school and it was like the first time I had seen it used in an NBA game.NFL: Bills

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
Here's my question about Granger, can he score in the post? The one thing I notice about Granger is he is long and maybe bigger than most of his counterparts. Is it possible to have him on the blocks for a couple of plays? If he can get points in the post, I don't think it'll elevate him to superstar status BUT he would be taking that next step towards it.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
He has the ability to score in the post but they rarely play him down low. Right now the Pacers are just to young and inexperience along with their head coach. I beginning to think Granger is a 2 option and not a 1. I have always liked him but he needs to play the role of Robin and not Batman. Curious what they do this offseason with cap space. Will they go after a experienced coach, or stick with Vogel? Will they look to find a go to guy? Not sure there are any in FA this year. Personally I want a pg. I think this is truely what this team lacks. I would prefer a pg with height and more physical than what they have now. I like DC but would not mind drafting someone a little bigger.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - First Round Discussion Thread
If you truly get another banana on that team, Collison would be an excellent choice for your starting PG.
Collison is much more of a complimentary player anyway, not a banana himself. He seems to me very capable of being a true starting PG so long as they have more than Granger as a strong scoring option. As I said to start the thread, they need to move George to the bench, which would bolster their backups [could be a nice Trevor Ariza type spark] and get a real starting off guard to help Granger.
If they got another banana that would make that team go. Granger's playing style is much like Durant/Kobe but his caliber is closer to Joe Johnson. So that's a bit tough to figure that situation out, but regardless they need to add another banana.
If they do that they will be a nice squad. Their starters would all be strong assuming they add another starter, and their bench would feature George/Jones/Posey/Rush.. they have to figure out who they're bringing back out of Foster/Dunleavy/McRoberts.Comment

I'm not surprised when they have all the injuries.. having to play Douglas/Walker/Jefferies.
That's never good if you're playing Boston in the playoffsComment
