That's fine if you and whomever else think his explanation isn't believable. Cool story. By saying that he and Bryant are OK is better than "no comment" any day of the week.

As I said, in the off season we shall see if that holds true. We'll hear more interviews and get more details if there was anything else going on.
I'm a cynic by nature, but I rather have a guy say nothing then try to BS me. I think we can all agree something was wrong Pau even admitted it. He had the opportunity to squash these rumors weeks ago. Now all of a sudden he feels compelled to speak out on it.

Are we really at the point where we believe that he's going to come out and confirm the rumors if they were true? Reguardless of what really happened Gasol is going to say everything is all great and that he and Kobe are the greatest bestest buddies ever in public. So if hearing the PC comments that any athlete would make in this situation puts you at ease don't let me ruin it for you.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

He's best to not say anything or like I said, just say 'I played like trash, there's no excuse for it and I will be better.' But he's not entitled to divulge anything about his personal life and he certainly shouldn't confirm that he hates Kobe's guts or anything cause that's just gonna cause a distraction that they definitely don't need and like I said, will have people crushing him for not handling it inhouse.
Here's the thing, I don't give a rat's behind if he does or doesn't say anything about his personal life. I'm talking about he and Kobe and about he and his other teammates. If things aren't peachy it'd be cool to know. I'm sure management knows what's up, so eventually we'll all know too.

I am too by nature. I never said the comments put me at ease either, I was merely replying to your original post on the topic.

Some of ya'll are funny man.

If he comments on it, then he's lying and full of ****. But if doesn't say anything or gives folks a "no comment" then he's hiding something, so it must be true.

What the hell do you want them to do? Pau was screwed the minute he came out and said there were some off the court issues affecting his play because at that point, all people were and are going to continue to do is figure out what's bothering him.

        Lose/lose situation for him.

So who does everyone have tonight?

Any chance for a third straight OT?

I'm nervous as hell but knowing that they were able to win in OKC in Game 1, I'm much more confident than I would normally be.

Once again Pau messed up once he brought his personally life into it. Let people speculate. At this point IMO just do with you should have done in the first place reframe from commenting on it altogether. The way everything played out it's really hard to buy everything is just honky doory all of a sudden. This isn't based solely on Pau comments the main Lakers other than Kobe has made comments about them not coming together and trust issues.

Put yourself in his shoes and I guarantee if you were constantly being asked questions about it over and over and over, you wouldn't keep quiet about it and if you did, it wouldn't be for long. Because if you continue to let people speculate, then that basically means you're opening up the doors for ANY type of rumor/story to come out, which can make you look even MORE bad and in some cases, worse.

We all agree that once he brought it up and said it was affecting his play, that he was screwed because everyone would just look for ANY thing or clue that even looks even remotely bad. But keeping quiet about it altogether wasn't going to make this go completely away, especially considering he's playing in a major media market like LA where they would still be asking questions about what exactly went wrong in the playoffs.

Is this about the only time something like this has happened in the league?

Or is it merely being talked so much about because it's Kobe, Pau, and the Lakers?

                      Just curious is all...

The last time I remember something like this happening was when the Lakers lost to the Pistons in 04.

I actually just got those to ball in. Not that color, but the style.

I'm thinking about taking them back though. Ever since I've started playing in them, I have a hard time getting the ball.

Why does he have Playstation buttons on the back of the shoes?

@TMagic - something like what? Two teammates feuding or locker room drama involving girlfriends/wives?

I know Tony Parker had some drama early this season because he apparently got it in with Brent Barry's wife. Damn Frenchmen.

Figures, Durant feels like same way the last couple games with Westbury...
