I'm just saying that there's a chance. I wouldn't bet my house on it or anything like that, but 1 day 3-0 will be overcome in the NBA and it MIGHT be this year. BTW, are people allowed to call other posters dumb in here, like the guy did to me?

            No...

and this isnt even about chance

When you got Mr Zen no so Zen anymore

The team not playing fundamental defense

            Losing multiple leads in games

            a thin bench

and those are just the beginning of their issues

Its not looking good for some kind of historical comeback, I dont care how bad Dirk faltered years back

You're prolly right, but true fans like myself don't stop believing in our team till they lose 4 games, not 3.

Yeah, he always leaves LAL in all my 2K11 seasons but we'll see. I wonder if at this point he'll even opt out with the bargaining agreement on horizon.

I think dre broke it down pretty good, it's not just one issue but a lot of issues. Some still expect the Lakers to just "turn it around" come game 4 but there is more to it. We'll see.

                  He might be thinking that.

He was doing so well down there early in the game, but for some reason they stopped giving him the ball down low. Must be frustrating for him, since he is the hardest player to match up with for the Mavericks.

Well, when the coach is focusing on nothing but blasting Gasol in every time out, its not a surprise.

I mean he was all over the guy like he was punking a rookie. If anything else, you've never seen Phil lose it like this... He wasn't on anyone else for missing assignments, just poking Gasol in the chest..

Gasol is getting absolutely no support when he needs it most. Not that I care, but theyre treating the dude like a curse.... This isnt an overnight issue either... Bynum was trying to say it without saying it, and Magic even said it, but again they dont even listen to him...remember what Kobe thought about what Magic said?

"Bynum should have never made those comments publicly," Johnson wrote on his Twitter account. "Call a players only meeting and discuss those issues internally with your teammates."

Johnson later was a guest on SportsCenter and said, "Pat Riley would have probably thrown Bynum off the team" for saying what he did.

Kobe Bryant, who is tied with Johnson with five championship rings as a member of the Lakers, did not pay much credence to the franchise legend's stance on the subject.

"What the hell do I care?" Bryant said. "It means nothing, whether he said it or not doesn't really mean a damn thing. We just got to win a game.

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - Second Round Discussion Thread

Coming back from 0-3 is pretty much impossible.

This Lakers team probably has an outside shot at it though. Most 0-3 teams don't have:

Multiple 5 times winners (Kobe, Fish)
A team full of vets with rings
Home court / number 1 seed (Any game 7 would be in LA)
A coach with, what is it?, 12 rings? (Phil Jax).

I doubt LA can do it. Dallas is too deep, playing too well and Dirk is the best player on the court.

However, LA has a better chance at doing it than the vast majority of those other 98 teams who've been down 0-3 ever had..

Doesn't even seem like Dallas is playing that well.
