Re: Once again behold the All Things KOBE thread...

Here are my thoughts from today's events. First, Kobe's accuser is a dirty girl -- flat out dirty. Of all of the pairs of underwear this girl has, she decides to wear a dirty pair to her rape examination. Even I, and I am a guy, won't wear dirty underwear. Did Monica Lewinski teach her how to wash clothes?

Second, Hulbert got his behind handed to him. The prosecution fought to keep the hearing open and they got what they asked for. Kobe's lawyers gave it to the prosecution. You know it's bad when the lead prosecutor has to tell reporters "That's not our whole case, we have more. Really!" That press conference has damage control written all over it.

Third, that detective is an idiot. I have not seen such a shameful attempt at face time since Arriana Huffington's presence at the California gubernatorial debate with Arnold. All that guy did was show that he was not very adept at public speaking and act like an idiot.

Finally, based on the evidence presented I think that Kobe is innocent. I don't really like the guy, but short of a videotape of the act or a confession I just can't believe that he raped this girl. All of the accounts of this hearing demonstrate some compelling evidence of Kobe's innocence. Maybe Hulbert does have something up his sleeve. However, it will have to be very compelling to change my mind.
Everybody can shoot when they're on fire.

I think the girl's defense is the worst ever...OMG, they tested the underwear she was wearing the day Kobe and her got together and found his semen.....why in the hell would you test another pair, first I would think it's a waste of money, secondly, it could lead to damaging evidence that could ruin our case(which it just might have done)...why would they do this, I just don't understand. Her lawyer should lose his job.

Seriously, what was that girl thinking? I guess she wanted to wear the undies that she wore when Kobe and her did the deed. Guess she forgot that she did the deed with several other guys too.

If there is evidence that the judge thinks can't be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, does it still go to trial? I wouldn't think so. Cause if this judge is skeptical about it, and he has seemed pretty fair so far, why waste tax payer dollars on a trial that will just be dragged out?

Yeah considering the judge i think theres a reasonable chance this could be dropped. I think the only huge piece of evidence that the da has is kobe lying to the police which could really hurt him. That might not even be admissible because i heard they didnt give him his miranda rights.

Guess what? It does...why can't it be proved, the hearing doesn't allot enough time to prove something, that's not its purpose, that's what trial is for.

Noone said it was true she had sex with 3 men. Kobes lawyer said that to put it out to the public to think the same way we are right now. She hasn't presented any evidence of such. It could've very well been her boyfriend that she previously had sex with, and she did by the way tell the police that when she went to them. Se also said they used a condom.

As for the DA, he didn't have to give his full hand, just present enough of a reson that a crime could've taken place. That's all. They asked for a partial closed hearing because PM was obviously violating the rape sheild laws, and directly disobeying the judges orders not to mention the lady's name, which she did about 6 or 7 times if I'm not mistaken.

All of this doesn't explain the blood on Kobe's clothes, that did match the blood in her underwear. I think the guy is just hung and she never had anything that size. He's what 6'7. He's not a midget guys, so the tearing could've occured with him whether it was consentual or not.

If the DA truly has alot more to put on the table, Kobe may be on his way to trial, and the speculation about her is wrong.

Also, they can't do a pay-off because it will be a criminal trial, not a civil one, which means he's being charged by the DA, not the girl trying to sue him. It'll either go to trial or not. Even the judge said that we have only partial knowledge of what evidence is there.

Now don't think I hate Kobe or anything, because that's not true, especially not like this, but if the only thing we have heard is the defense's side of things, of coarse we'll think he didn't do it, and she is lying.

BTW, I also think the detective is a joke. He almost makes it seem like he really doesn't know what is really going on.
