You know, even tho we're missing those starters, I don't think we should be sucking this bad. I mean come on!! I saw so many open dunks and lay ups last night against Denver. PLAY SOME DEFENSE!!!!!

I can understand if the scoring isn't there. But there should always be the effort on the defensive side. Everyone just looked lost when trying to play D. People were being switched left and right. Mismatches came up all the time. WTF?!?!!

It's so frustrating watching them sometimes, cause I know how good they can be. They just aren't playing up to their potential. Even without Shaq, Malone, Fox, and whoever else might be hurt. They just don't seem to have that fire and desire to give win every night. Frustrating I tell you.

Oh well, hopefully they'll pick it up. They still have a really good record. It's not what happens in Dec or Jan, it's what happens in May and June. Go Lake Show!!!

I agree. There is just so much confusion between the Laker players right now. We've got guys that are playing 30+ min. that usually don't top 15 or 20. They don't know when to switch, who boxes out who. I remember a specific fastbreak when they played clippers (the one where Kaman made the crazy reverse layup). Overton had the ball, and Kaman was cutting through the other side. Russell and Grant (the only defenders back) were doing God-knows what in no-mans land. James Worthy called their activity "square dancing"

Ya, I don't get it. We're already 1/3 thru the season, and we still don't have a "feel" for each other. I wonder if it's because Phil let them run so much in the beginning. And we were winning based on just skill alone. Now, when things are slowed down, we can't get it right.

I remember screaming at the beginning of the season that our D was suckin, and now it's even more apparent. I don't think I've seen a game where they've played good solid D the entire 4th quarter. I see spurts of great D, flashes of good D, but mostly just bad D. It's sad. We should be a lot better than we are. Damn slackers.
