But this is about Spo not Wade or Bron. Spoelstra didn't get the most out of his guys one way or the other and it will be a topic of discussion until Spo gets them a title, or he gets replaced. I think he has a great mind for the game and will be successful for a long time, but it might not be with Miami. I think that is an indictment on the players, not Spo.

Re: Eric Spo
But, that is exactly what they need. A veteran coach that would demand their respect. A former video guy isn't going to do that.Comment

Re: Eric Spo
The mavs caught stride at games 5 and 6. Which is their offense came around to the norm. Dirk was the only one playing effectively for the mavs games 1 through 4. The heat were able to win or choke games away 1 through 4.Comment

Re: Eric Spo
Not I, I think Spoelstra has a very bright future ahead of him. Everything I've ever heard about him is that he works extremely hard, dissects film, and puts in the effort that needs to be there. Seems to be a very prepared guy who just needs more experience for his voice to be heard stronger. I think Spo did a great job working with three great pieces, and then rags beyond that. I don't think anyone can blame Spoelstra for Lebron biting more nails and standing around than field goals attempted.
Basic things in their offense need to change. Starting with initiating the offense with Bosh at the Elbow. Utilizing the pick and roll with LeWade. Finding a sure fire way for Lebron to score in more than ISO situations. Finding a solution to their lack of PG fluidity.
Their D was pretty strong throughout the post season, eventually Dallas was going to bust em though. Game 6 they didn't seem to get to their usual defensive spots, and they were pretty lucky that Dirk couldnt hit some of the best looks he had all series.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Re: Eric Spo
I'm fairly certain Spoelstra didn't go to LeBron at any point in the series and tell him that he should just stand around and watch during the 4th qtr.
The notion that coaching had anything to do with Miami's demise in the Finals is asinine. They lost because James, the self-annointed "Chosen One", came up smaller on the big stage than any other superstar in league history. Any attempt to place the blame anywhere else is mere excuse making.Comment
