It's going to be quite a sad day to see Kobe retire, i don't know how i would take it. I'm a 18 year old kid, I've grew up watching Kobe as a Laker, and i loved every single moment of it. As i stated before, i'm not quite sure how he's going to retire, if you're a Laker fan, you'd think that Kobe would be here forever, but that isn't the case. Which brings me to my next question, how long you guys think Kobe would last in the NBA? I'm going to give him till the age of 42.

Well I truly believe Kobe only has about 2-3 productive seasons left. Meaning that he could average his 25 ppg, 5, ast, 5 rebs, and lead LA deep into the playoffs. After that I think he should retire but he won't. Knowing Kobe he probably won't retire until he's 40 which is 5+ years away.

I have no problem with that as long as he allows himself to age gracefully (i.e. stepping aside to let a new player take over while Kobe is more of a complementary player). I want to see him get the all-time scoring record. If he can average about 16PPG over the next 8 years, he's got it. I think he'll play at least that long, and he'll average far more than that many PPG over that span.

Shame that you can't appreciate him while he's still here. He's the second best shooting guard ever, and definitely a top 10 player of all-time if you ask me.

Yea, i understand he doesn't like the guy, but there's no reason why you shouldn't respect his love for the game. Maybe one day he would fully understand how dominating this Kobe Bryant guy was.

It is certainly possible to acknowledge greatness and absolutely detest someone at the same time, lol. I've appreciated him enough. Now I just want him to go the **** away for good. And I can't wait until he does. And I will celebrate proudly when he does.

That's what im expecting too. Im gonna be sad once he retires because not only will i miss him playing but i don't think there is anyone who can ever replace him in LA once he's gone,

                                LOL

No way does Kobe play 8 more seasons, playing the SG @ 41-43 is unheard of, especially on a arthritic left knee. His body won't hold up that long, so Kareem's record will remain until either Lebron or Kevin can challenge it.
