I think 2001 was the best allstar game. Everyone in that game was in their prime.

1988 All Star Game is a classic too.
1993 Is really good. Goes into overtime.

My personal favourite is the 96 all star game because it's my favorite season.

My personal favorites were 2001 and 2003, as well.

2001 was great. Watching Iverson, Marbury, & Carter bring the East back in the 4th was awesome!

and MJ's final game in 2003 was great enough for the simple fact that Jordan was in it. but for the game to go into double OT AND for Jordan to hit a huge clutch shot? made it all that much better.

Thats my 2nd favorite all-star game ever! My favorite was the 1949 all-star game where Blake Griffin's great great great grandfather dunked over a Ford Model-T.

If you search, you can watch the whole game on Youtube. I think there are 18 parts to it. I still remember that hook over Isaiah after Jordan was checking Magic to prevent him from getting the ball. Happiest and saddest day for me in the NBA seeing a great star like Magic play his last game because of his "ailment" he acquired.......

I've only been watching All-Star games as they've happened since 1993, so my choices are a little limited. In that time, I might have to agree with your two choices. The '01 game was great. Also, I would have been fine with Jordan's fallaway over Marion being the game-winner. Jermaine's foul on the Kobe three just gave me another reason not to like him at that point.

The capper to the '03 game was the retro jerseys and the larger-than-the-freaking-moon MVP trophy handed out to KG.





Always loved the look where KG is expecting a glass bowl of some kind perhaps, and then his face lights up when they lug this giant bowling trophy out there.

I don't remember what year, but I think it was Jordan's last year. He hit that buzzer near buzzer beater in overtime I think, but Kevin Garnet was just too much, coming right back to tie it up and send it to a double overtime. I think that's how it went.

Actually on the next play Jermaine O'Neal made a brutally stupid play on Kobe on the other end, fouling him on a three-pointer. I believe Kobe made two of the shots and they went into OT, where KG took over.

By far my favorite ASG.

My All Star game is when the East made a charging come with Ray Allen hitting a bunch of 3's.
