So true, I just want this saga to finally end. I just wanna see Timmy, Manu and Tony play together for the (possibly last) season. I especially want to see them here in D.C. **** all the rhetoric and double-talk, they need to get this **** done. Or they are going to harm the league far worse than after the '99 strike. Hardcore guys like us will always be here, but casual/ fair-weather fans will soon tire of all this.Players dont want a hard cap
and its the same old tired arguments all over again
Leon Powe is hardly someone who should be speaking out when in fact he has just benefitted out of this world for doing nothing, all because the contracts are guaranteed...then he has the nerve to say 'we"...he surely would never open his mouth if this was the NFL
but anyway, what I care about is that this issue gets fixed, for the game itself to survive, I could care less about these dudes whining over what they cant get ,and I could care less for the pocketbook of the dude paying Shard his salary
In the end, do what it takes to fix the system, and like it or not its gutcheck time. Welcome to the rest of the world

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
So Steve Nash Tweets today:
Thank you to the NBAPA, NBA and our mediator for working hard to find a resolution. I'm optimistic today.
So should he STFU for that post?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Something tells me this might be like the NHL lockout from a couple of years ago, minus the trouble of getting a TV deal.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Just checking. I'm in agreeance with 24 on the STFU reference for anybody who says something stupid. Someone says something stupid or idiotic doesn't need to be silenced. It's not like their insulting anybody or throwing out words that's hurting anybody. They're just giving their opinion.
NOW someone like Bryant Gumbel should get the STFU. That was insulting to Stern and was classless. As much as I despise Stern, I don't even think he deserves that.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

But they're portraying themselves as victims when they are clearly not. I think thats the problem some of us have with the tweets.Just checking. No.. you ought to re-evaluate yourself when you're in the public spouting off nonsense in ignorance... like spelling lost for the word loss...Just checking. Oh yeah... use proper standard english as well, or nobody will care to listen to you sounding like an uneducated jock stereotypeComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
That's fine, BUT do we really need to advocate that their right to be free speech be taken away because what we think they Tweet is dumb or stupid?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong.
