I don't agree with some of his actions.....but one thing about Stevenson that i like is he will always be himself.

both good and bad the guy stays the same nothing fake about him

He speaks his mind and doesn't seem to really care about stepping on toes even it involves a guy like Billy Hunter.

Makes you wonder what if there was real player vote to decide this stuff

shouldn't billy make sure his guys are informed instead of continuing to say such and such shouldve come blah blah to the meeting....especially when he is asking them to miss checks and hes not?

Been watching NBA TV all day. Some great classic games on today. Really enjoyed seeing the 1990 Knicks @ Celtics playoff game 5 again earlier.

I'm glad NBATV snapped out of that weird funk where they were running NBA Gametime and WNBA Gametime 18 episodes a day.

i was checking out the Boston vs Charlotte matchup

pretty amazing how 36 year old Kevin McHale had that great performance vs a young Alonzo mourning and Larry Johnson

I almost forgot how great McHale's low post footwork was back in the day

Are you ready for some good news?

Jeff Kessler has reportedly been kicked off the negotiating team:

Quinn’s involvement was first reported Tuesday by CBSSports.com, which characterized his role as a neutral “facilitator.” In fact, Quinn was recently hired by Hunter to help complete the deal, according to a person who has spoken with Quinn. It appears that Quinn may have supplanted Jeff Kessler, the union’s pugnacious outside counsel, as the players’ lead negotiator.

Whether a deal happens or not, the players need to fire Billy Hunter, once this ordeal ends. Hunter and his (former) lead counsel cost the players 3 paychecks. And they gained absolutely, or at least so far, nothing.

His leadership was horrendous throughout this whole process and the players could avoided much of this if they had decertified in July. I'm thinking that the strong threat of litigation, outside pressure from sponsors and other smaller factors are leading to this (possible) deal. Well, some of that pressure could have been created much earlier if not for Hunter's stupidity.

Billy Hunter and Kessler both have been more divisive than helpful and the sooner the NBPA distance themselves from this whole labor ordeal, the better because all Hunter has done was he made the NBPA look foolish and misinformed this whole time and in the end they will end up agreeing to essentially the same deal he said was "disrespectful and insulting". Good job guys. Lost 3 games checks and a dozen or so games all for nothing.

Perhaps if they put the jerseys over their faces instead, it would be worthwhile...

Joking of course... but this could provide some stiff competition if it takes off.... lol
