Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
How in the world did you get that out of what I said?
Outside of Chicago, LA, New York, Boston, Dallas, Orlando, OKC, Miami unless you're a die hard NBA Fan, what reason do you have to watch other teams besides those?
That's part of the problem I have with this as well. The lack of exposure for the other teams compared to those 8 are awful.
And part of a reason why some of them are Superstars is also because of the amount of exposure they get, which everyone here agrees that outside of the 6-7 teams, the League has done an awful job at that.
And to you recent point, the lack of exposure to the other teams is because of lack of superstars. Yes, we all agree the NBA does do a horrible job of exposing other teams outside of maybe the 4-5 elite teams. BUT as stated, it's a superstar driven league. And if you don't have one, then there is no coverage. Which circles back to my point/question, are there more than 6-7 superstars in the league? And how do you define a superstar?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

From what you posted
Which tells me that you think because of 'exposure' that these players are superstars? If I'm not interpreting correctly please let me know. I know my comments gets twisted a lot so I want to make sure I'm not doing the same.

Hell, NJ has Deron Williams yet has 0 National TV(and they play in the biggest market in the world) games but when he was in Utah, they were guaranteed at least 6-7 of them. Washington is another one, NO is another one, I could go on and on but they rather give all of those prime time slots to NY, LA and Miami. Hell, even when NY was stinkin' up the joint for all those years, the League still managed to force feed them down our throats.
The sum it up, the OVERALL point I'm making is for the casual, outside of the teams I mentioned, there's no reason to tune in and watch those other teams and that's a problem, especially considering how they play some role in these dudes becoming Superstars(see Rose, Derrick).#RespectTheCultureComment

Yeah you definitely did because you're focusing too much on that one line instead of the point I'm trying to make. But anyway...

Exactly. These guys have difficulties organizing a charity game sometimes sand they want to start an official league? Laughable.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I don't think the idea is laughable because they have the most important element, but the idea they can just throw a league together is ridiculous. Something like that would have taken at least a year of planing if not more. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I wouldn't say that is the most important element. Maybe to future success but not to start up itself. Funding, sponsors, and just so many others things. I see what you're saying but it will never happen.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Point blank, if they cant negotiate the owners to 53% of BRI, how can they organize and tun the various business goings of running a successful nationwide league?
Like I said, it would be no better than a grade above the And 1 tourComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
It is laughable because there would be no way they could survive on this over the long term and they would spend more money on making and maintaining this "league" than they would have money coming back.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Yes, that's true... BUT...
They'd be standing united, and playing for the fans. Because that's who is really important through all of this. #loveuguys per King James' twitter.
And like Nash said, they just want to play for us... all about the love of the game. So of course they're not concerned about the financial aspect of the puzzle... as long as they can stand united, create their own league... and play for their fans. Everything should be ok then, right?Twitter - WTF_OS

Didnt that twitter campaign call fail anyway? LOL.. like who joined in on it?
If you can't organize that, then how can you organize a league?
The way Amare was talking, I think he was smiling the entire time he was saying this because he couldn't stop saying we want the lockout to end, and we want to play NBA basketballComment
